Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Gangtok
You'll land at Bagdogra airport where someone from the hotel will be waiting to pick you up. The drive to Gangtok takes a few hours, so settle in and watch the scenery change as you head into the hills. Once you check into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax, walk around town, or just adjust to being at this elevation (5,410 ft/1,650 m).

- Day 2
Gangtok Full Day Tour
After breakfast, you'll spend the full day on a guided tour covering the main sights around Gangtok. Start with Hanuman Tok and Ganesh Tok, then head to Tashi View Point for views of the surrounding mountains. From there, you'll move through Rumtek Monastery with its impressive architecture, stop by Banjhakri Water Falls, ride the cable car for a different perspective, and check out the Research Institute of Tibetology. Later you'll see Do-Dul-Chorten, the Botanical Garden, and a flower show if one's happening. By evening you're free to grab dinner wherever you like or just rest at the hotel.

Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir Excursion
After breakfast, you'll head out on a day trip to Tsomgo Lake, which sits at 12,400 ft/3,780 m. The lake is surrounded by mountains and stays partially frozen for much of the year, so even in warmer months it's quite cold. You'll also stop at Baba Mandir nearby, then drive back to Gangtok. The whole trip takes the better part of the day, so bring layers and be ready for a longer drive at high altitude.

- Day 4
Gangtok to Pelling via Namchi
After breakfast, check out and drive toward Pelling, but you'll stop in Namchi first to visit Samdruptse Hill and Char Dham. These are significant religious sites with good views of the surrounding region. Once you finish there, it's another hour or so to Pelling where you'll check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the town or relaxing at your accommodation.

Pelling to Darjeeling
After breakfast, check out and drive to Darjeeling, which is about 50 km away but takes several hours due to winding mountain roads. You'll gain more elevation as you go. Check in at your hotel when you arrive and spend the rest of the day settling in. There are shops and tea places nearby if you want to explore a bit, or just rest before the early start tomorrow.

Darjeeling Full Day Tour
Set your alarm for around 3 AM because you'll need to leave the hotel by 4 AM to reach Tiger Hills (8,364 ft/2,550 m) for sunrise. The goal is to catch Kanchenjunga Peak lit up by the first light, weather depending. Come back down for breakfast at the hotel, then head out to Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After lunch, you'll do a full guided tour hitting Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, and a tea estate where you can learn how tea is processed. It's a long day but covers the major sites in Darjeeling, so by evening you'll have earned some downtime back at the hotel.

Departure from Darjeeling
After breakfast, check out and drive back down to Bagdogra airport for your flight home. The drive takes a few hours, so you'll have time to grab any last-minute snacks or gifts before heading to the terminal.
