Itinerary
- Day 1
Bagdogra to Darjeeling
You'll arrive at Bagdogra airport where a GTIndia Tours representative meets you for the drive to Darjeeling. After checking into your hotel, the rest of your day is open so you can settle in and relax at your own pace.
- Day 2
Darjeeling
Set your alarm for around 4 AM to head to Tiger Hills and catch the sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (weather depending). On the way back to your hotel for breakfast, you'll stop at Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After freshening up, a guided tour takes you through Darjeeling hitting the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, and a tea estate. Your evening is free for shopping or doing your own thing.

Darjeeling to Gangtok
After breakfast you'll check out and head to Gangtok. During the drive, there's an option to try river rafting on the Teesta River if you want (at your own cost). Once you reach Gangtok, check in at your hotel and the afternoon and evening are yours to spend however you like.

Gangtok
Following breakfast, a guided tour covers Gangtok's main spots starting with Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, and Tashi View Point. Then you'll see seven more locations including Rumtek Monastery or Banjhakri Waterfalls, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Cable Car (your ticket), Research Institute of Tibetology, Do-Dul-Chorten Stupa, Botanical Garden, and the flower show. The evening is free for relaxing.

Gangtok to Lachen
After breakfast, check out and drive toward Lachen with several scenic stops along the way. You'll pass Tashi Viewpoint, Kabi Longstok, Naga Waterfalls, the convergence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang, Twin Waterfalls, and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Arrive in Lachen, check in, and your evening is free.

Lachen to Lachung
Leave after breakfast and drive to Lachung, stopping to visit Chopta Valley and Gurudongmar Lake sitting at 17,800 feet. Continue down to Lachung at 8,000 feet where you'll check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax.

Lachung
Take a day trip to Yumthang Valley (also called Sikkim Valley of Flowers Sanctuary) after breakfast. This nature sanctuary has a river, hot springs, yaks, and rolling meadows with Himalayan peaks around you. If you visit January through March you'll see snow, while April and May bring rhododendrons. You'll return to Lachung for the night.

Lachung to Gangtok
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Gangtok. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and the rest of your day is free.

Check out after breakfast and drive to Kalimpong. Once there, check in, refresh yourself, then join a half day guided tour visiting Kalimpong Durpin Dara viewpoint, Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery, Flower & Orchid Nurseries, and Dello Hill. Your evening is open for leisure.
