Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cusco
You'll touch down in Cusco and get settled into your hotel in the city center. After you've had time to freshen up, head out around 1:00 pm to explore the main historical sites. The afternoon tour takes you through the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha) where you can see the impressive stonework, then on to Sacsayhuaman with its massive terraced ruins. From there you'll check out Kenko and Puca Pucara before finishing at Tambomachay, getting back around 7:00 pm. Your evening is open so you can rest and let your body adjust to the altitude (Cusco sits at about 11,150 feet).

Sacred Valley and Community Visit
The hotel picks you up around 8:00 am for a trip into the Sacred Valley heading toward Chincheros and a nearby local community. Once you arrive, you'll be welcomed with traditional music and dance. The day involves hands-on activities where you can try your hand at field work, help with animal care, and learn how the locals practice traditional weaving using natural dyes. Lunch is an organic meal prepared locally, and you'll make it back to Cusco around 4:00 pm to rest before evening.

Landmarks/POIs Chincheros - Day 3
Machu Picchu
Start early with a pickup at 4:00 am for the drive to Ollantaytambo train station (about 1.5 hours away). Board the train heading to Aguas Calientes, which takes roughly 4 hours and gives you nice views of the valley and mountains along the route. When you arrive, take a 25-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu. An expert guide takes you through a 2-hour tour of the citadel explaining the history and layout, then you get time to wander around on your own and take photos. Later you'll head back down by bus to Aguas Calientes to walk around the village, catch the afternoon train return to Ollantaytambo, and then drive back to Cusco, getting in that evening.
