Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Your hotel pickup starts early so you can get down to Ninh Binh province while the day's still young. Once there, you'll cycle through local villages and check out Hoa Lu, which was Vietnam's ancient capital, so there's real history to take in as you ride around. By midday you'll have time for lunch before heading to Tam Coc for a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride that winds through the karst landscape. After that you'll climb up nearly 500 steps to Mua Cave where you get views out over the whole area. Then it's off to your bungalow to settle in for the night.

- Day 2
Ninh Binh to Hanoi
After breakfast at the bungalow you'll transfer over to Bai Dinh Pagoda, which is the largest pagoda in southeast Asia. There's quite a lot to see there including 500 stone Arhat statues, a 36-ton bronze bell, and a 100-ton Buddha statue. You'll grab lunch featuring local food before taking a 2.5-hour boat trip through Trang An cave system, which is recognized by UNESCO and also happens to be where they filmed Skull Island. By evening you'll head back to Hanoi.
