Itinerary
- Day 1
Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, you'll travel from Fes towards Merzouga through the Middle and High Atlas mountains. The route takes you through Ifrane, known locally as the Switzerland of Morocco, where you can stop at the cedar forest to see Barbary apes. From there, you'll continue through Midelt and the Ziz Gorge. Grab lunch in Midelt, then head through the High Atlas plateau as the scenery shifts from mountains to desert landscape. You'll arrive in Merzouga during the afternoon, have some mint tea, and then get on a camel to ride across the Sahara Desert dunes to your Berber camp for the night.

- Day 2
Merzouga to Dades Valley
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, then eat a Berber breakfast back at the camp. After that, you'll trek back to Merzouga village by camel while watching how the light changes across the dunes throughout the morning. Next, head to the Todgha Gorges near Rissani, which are the highest and narrowest gorges in the country. After lunch in the gorge itself, drive through Dades Valley where sandstone formations and rock structures line the route. By evening, you'll settle in at a nice guesthouse overlooking Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast provided.

- Day 3
Dades Valley to Marrakech
You'll have breakfast, then travel from Dades Valley through to Ouarzazate and on towards Marrakech. This section of the valley is called the 'way of the thousand Kasbahs' and offers really good photo stops along the way. Stop at Kalaat M'Gouna in the rose valley if you want to check out the rose cooperative and pick up some rosewater. Then continue to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a historic structure built by Berber chieftain Et Hami El Glaoui back in the 1800s. Before reaching Marrakech, you'll pass through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass at 2260m over the High Atlas, with an optional stop to learn how Berber women produce argan oil.
