Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Negombo
You'll arrive at Colombo Airport and get transferred to your hotel in Negombo. After settling into your room, the rest of the day is yours to do as you like. The beaches here are nice, and there's a lagoon worth checking out if you're interested. Plenty of restaurants and bars around if you want to grab dinner and explore the local scene.

Chilaw - Anuradhapura
Following breakfast, head down to the Negombo Fish Market on the beach where you can watch fishermen working with their nets and laying out fish to dry. From there, transfer to Chilaw and visit the Munneshwaram Hindu Temple, an important religious site with over 1000 years of history. Later, continue on to Anuradhapura and check into your hotel for the night.

Anuradhapura
After breakfast, you'll head into Wilpattu National Park to look for Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, and water buffalo in their natural surroundings. Back at the hotel, you'll have time to rest before evening activities. As the sun starts to set, explore the ancient kingdom of Anuradhapura, including the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree and the historic Ruwanweliseya monument.

Hiriwadunna - Dambulla
Breakfast first, then transfer to Sigiriya to walk around the 5th century rock fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient frescoes and views across the royal gardens. Next, visit Hiriwadunna village where you'll see a scenic reservoir. During the afternoon, you'll take a catamaran ride, stop at a local farmer's place for tea, walk through the fields, and ride in a bullock cart. By evening, transfer to Dambulla and settle into your hotel.

Matale - Kandy
After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple complex, which has five cave temples with about 150 Buddha statues and detailed frescoes. Stop by the Dambulla vegetable market to get a sense of the local produce trading. Later, transfer to Matale to walk through a Spice Garden where you'll learn about Sri Lanka's spice heritage and have some herbal tea. Finally, head to Kandy and check into your hotel.

Colombo
Following breakfast, spend the morning exploring Kandy City, taking in the Temple of the Tooth Relic, walking through the City Centre shops and markets, and browsing the local market for fresh goods. In the evening, watch a cultural show with traditional music and drumming. After that, transfer to Colombo for a nighttime tour along the Race Course, through Pettah's floating market, past Independence Square, and the Dutch Hospital shopping area. You'll also visit Gangarama Temple and enjoy Colombo's nightlife before staying overnight in the city.
