Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in San José
You'll land at San José International Airport and connect with the tour staff after collecting your bags and getting through customs. From there, a transfer takes you straight to your hotel where you'll check in and settle in for the night.
- Day 2
Arenal Volcano & Baldi Hot Springs
Head through Costa Rica's interior toward La Fortuna, starting with a stop in Sarchí to check out the handcrafted goods and see the world's largest ox cart. The route takes you past pineapple and agricultural fields before reaching La Fortuna for lunch with views of the volcano. In the afternoon, you'll relax in the natural thermal pools at Baldi Hot Springs, where temperatures range from 93°F to 152°F/34°C to 67°C. After dinner, head back to your Arenal hotel.

Peñas Blancas River Safari
Spend the morning floating down the Peñas Blancas River on an eco-friendly safari, which runs about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on water conditions. A naturalist guide will point out wildlife like monkeys, sloths, herons, and various bird species as you drift through the region at a relaxed pace and take in the local biodiversity.

Arenal to Monteverde
Travel from Arenal to Monteverde on a scenic 3.5-hour route that includes a lake crossing. You'll ride in a comfortable van with plenty of luggage space, then transfer to a boat for 30 to 40 minutes across Lake Arenal where you can take in views of small islands and the surrounding landscape. After that, you'll head to your Monteverde hotel to check in.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Sky Walk
Spend the day on the Sky Walk Tour through Monteverde Cloud Forest, which combines suspension bridges with forest trails. You'll hike a 1.7-mile route that takes you through different forest layers, and cross six hanging bridges that range from 157 to 774 feet in length, some reaching up to 164 feet above the ground. Along the way, you'll spot cloud forest plants and animals from both the forest floor and high in the canopy.

Monteverde to San José
Drive approximately 3 hours from Monteverde back to San José. Check into your hotel for your final night, then rest up before your flight tomorrow.
