Vienna
You'll arrive at Vienna airport and head to your hotel via transfer at 10:00, 13:00, or 15:00, whichever works best for your flight. After you check in, stop by a local café for coffee and pastries to settle in. At 17:30, meet your Travel Director and other travelers for a Welcome Dinner with wine at a nearby restaurant.

Your Local Expert takes you on a private tour of Schönbrunn Palace, Maria Theresa's former residence, with time to walk through its formal gardens. From there, you'll travel the famous Ring Road, stopping to photograph key sites like the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Residence, Austrian Parliament Building, and Karlskirche.

Vienna to Zagreb
You'll drive through Styria's forested mountains past Graz, cross into Slovenia and reach Maribor, a 700-year-old university town. Then head toward Zagreb following the Drava River through Croatia. Your Local Expert shows you Donji Grad's wide streets and parks, takes you through the Mimara Art Museum at Roosevelt Square and Ban Josip Jelačić Square, then you'll ride the funicular up to Gornji Grad to see the former Presidential Palace, Stone Gate, St. Mark's Church, and Lotrščak Tower.

Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes
This morning and early afternoon you'll relax at your hotel and use its facilities. Later, you'll head to your next hotel, which sits inside Plitvice Lakes National Park. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with interconnected lakes cascading into each other and surrounded by primeval forests and grasslands.

Plitvice Lakes to Split
Your Local Expert guides you through Plitvice Lakes where 16 connected lakes drop into each other between waterfalls and old-growth forest. You'll visit Korana Canyon to see its 70-metre waterfall and Tomičevo Pogledalo for views across the park. After that, you'll travel along the coast to Trogir, founded by Greeks in 400 B.C., to see its cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko Palace before reaching Split.

Corfu to Delphi
You'll leave Corfu for Delphi, which sits on a steep hillside and held enormous significance in the ancient world. The site shows remains and artifacts from 4,000 B.C. onward, including Mycenaean settlements. Ancient legend says Delphi is where Zeus sent two eagles from opposite ends of the earth to find 'the navel of the world.'

Delphi to Athens
Your Local Expert leads you up Delphi's Sacred Way past the Parian marble Treasury of the Athenians and the Polygonal Wall, whose interlocking stones still fit together perfectly after thousands of years. You'll reach the Temple of Apollo where the Oracle of Delphi spoke for 1,400 years, with predictions about the Argonauts and Trojan War. Then travel to Athens for a Celebration Dinner in Greek style with wine.
