Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Vienna

    You'll arrive at Vienna airport and head to your hotel via transfer at 10:00, 13:00, or 15:00, whichever works best for your flight. After you check in, stop by a local café for coffee and pastries to settle in. At 17:30, meet your Travel Director and other travelers for a Welcome Dinner with wine at a nearby restaurant.

  2. Day 2

    Vienna

    Your Local Expert takes you on a private tour of Schönbrunn Palace, Maria Theresa's former residence, with time to walk through its formal gardens. From there, you'll travel the famous Ring Road, stopping to photograph key sites like the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Residence, Austrian Parliament Building, and Karlskirche.

    Vienna to Zagreb

    You'll drive through Styria's forested mountains past Graz, cross into Slovenia and reach Maribor, a 700-year-old university town. Then head toward Zagreb following the Drava River through Croatia. Your Local Expert shows you Donji Grad's wide streets and parks, takes you through the Mimara Art Museum at Roosevelt Square and Ban Josip Jelačić Square, then you'll ride the funicular up to Gornji Grad to see the former Presidential Palace, Stone Gate, St. Mark's Church, and Lotrščak Tower.

    Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes

    This morning and early afternoon you'll relax at your hotel and use its facilities. Later, you'll head to your next hotel, which sits inside Plitvice Lakes National Park. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with interconnected lakes cascading into each other and surrounded by primeval forests and grasslands.

  5. Day 5

    Plitvice Lakes to Split

    Your Local Expert guides you through Plitvice Lakes where 16 connected lakes drop into each other between waterfalls and old-growth forest. You'll visit Korana Canyon to see its 70-metre waterfall and Tomičevo Pogledalo for views across the park. After that, you'll travel along the coast to Trogir, founded by Greeks in 400 B.C., to see its cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko Palace before reaching Split.

    Split to Dubrovnik

    Your Local Expert takes you through Split's winding streets and arcaded squares to see St. Duje's (once Diocletian's Mausoleum), the Temple of Jupiter (now a baptistery), and the Golden Gate. You'll go down into basement rooms that held the Emperor's slaves. Later, you'll travel past sparkling seas and rocky Dalmatian islands to Dubrovnik where you'll pick from hand-selected local restaurants for your Dine-Around Evening.

    Your Local Expert leads a walking tour through Dubrovnik's walled Old Town inside 16th century stone bastions. You'll pass Onofrio's Fountain, the Old Jewish Quarter and synagogue, then see the cathedral and Franciscan and Dominican monasteries. The rest of the day is open for you to relax by the pool, sit at a café, or take an optional cruise.

    You'll cross into Montenegro to visit Kotor's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its azure bay surrounded by medieval buildings and mountains. From there, travel through dramatic scenery of Montenegro and Albania to reach Tirana, the capital. Your Local Expert shows you this colorful city and its varied architecture from Ottoman, Italian, and communist periods.

    Corfu

    Your full day on Corfu is yours to plan. Walk through the Old Town to see its mix of Roman, Venetian, French, and British architecture that reflects the island's history before joining Greece. Or you can relax at one of the nearby beaches or take an optional cruise around the island.

    Corfu to Delphi

    You'll leave Corfu for Delphi, which sits on a steep hillside and held enormous significance in the ancient world. The site shows remains and artifacts from 4,000 B.C. onward, including Mycenaean settlements. Ancient legend says Delphi is where Zeus sent two eagles from opposite ends of the earth to find 'the navel of the world.'

  12. Day 12

    Delphi to Athens

    Your Local Expert leads you up Delphi's Sacred Way past the Parian marble Treasury of the Athenians and the Polygonal Wall, whose interlocking stones still fit together perfectly after thousands of years. You'll reach the Temple of Apollo where the Oracle of Delphi spoke for 1,400 years, with predictions about the Argonauts and Trojan War. Then travel to Athens for a Celebration Dinner in Greek style with wine.

    You'll board your cruise and sail to Mykonos with its white sugar cube houses and windmills. Spend time walking through the maze of streets and stopping at welcoming tavernas. Late evening, your ship heads across the Aegean toward Turkey. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included daily with Mediterranean and international options. Your package has complimentary drinks including alcohol, soft drinks, and hot beverages.

    The ship docks at Kusadasi in Turkey where your Local Expert takes you to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, a Greco-Roman site and UNESCO World Heritage area. In the afternoon, you'll sail to Patmos where St. John the Divine was exiled by Emperor Domitian. Later, your cruise heads toward Crete. All meals and complimentary drinks continue onboard.

You can explore Thira's clifftop restaurants and cafes with their views and sunsets. Evening brings you back to Athens. Meals and complimentary drinks are served throughout.

    Insight Vacations excelled themselves with this itinerary. It is amazing how many countries you visit on this trip.     • For any tour departing before February 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of $300 is required to confirm your booking with Insight Vacations. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Insight Vacations will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
