Arusha to Tarangire to Ngorongoro
Today you're heading from Arusha toward Ngorongoro Crater. On the way, you'll do a guided game drive through Tarangire National Park to see Tanzania's wildlife up close. Later you'll transfer to the Ngorongoro area for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti
Start early with a morning game drive down into Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll see incredible animals in this natural amphitheater setting. After that, you'll drive to Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch along the way. You'll arrive in time for either an afternoon or evening game drive to start seeing what makes this park so famous.

Serengeti
Spend the full day exploring Serengeti National Park and watching the Great Migration, when roughly two million wildebeest and zebra move across the plains. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has dramatic wildlife interactions happening constantly, so you'll see plenty of action throughout the day.

Serengeti to Masai Mara
You'll leave Serengeti with a game drive during checkout, then head to the Isebania Border for immigration processing. After crossing into Kenya, you'll enter Masai Mara National Reserve and arrive late in the evening. Your guide will take you on an evening game drive on the way to your lodge.

Masai Mara
Early morning means heading out for a hot air balloon safari over Masai Mara Reserve. You'll see the Mara River, swamps, forests, and the African savannah from above, which is a completely different view than driving through. After landing, you'll have a bush breakfast, then spend the rest of the day doing regular game viewing around the reserve.

Masai Mara to Nairobi to Entebbe
Leave Masai Mara early and drive through the great plains and upcountry toward Nairobi, which takes about 5 hours. You'll arrive in the afternoon for lunch, then your guide will take you to the airport for your domestic flight to Entebbe. Your Uganda guide will be waiting there to pick you up and drive you to your lodge.

Entebbe to Kibale Forest
You're driving to Fort Portal, Uganda's primate capital, and it'll take about 4 hours. Once you arrive and have lunch, you'll do a short crater lakes tour around the countryside. After that, you'll head into Kibale Forest, which has more primate species in one place than anywhere else in the world.

Kibale Forest
Your day starts before dawn for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, which usually takes about 4 hours. You'll get back to the lodge for lunch. Then the afternoon and evening are yours to relax or wander around the crater lakes on your own.

Kibale to Bwindi Forest
Early this morning you're transferring to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to roughly half of all the mountain gorillas left in the world. You won't arrive until late afternoon, so you'll have time to settle in. Dinner will be served under the stars.

Bwindi Forest
This is the main event of your trip. After breakfast, you'll head to the briefing point for gorilla tracking instructions, then set out with your assigned gorilla family and a guide ranger. Once you finish tracking, you'll head back for lunch. In the evening, you'll take a cultural walk to meet the Batwa Community.

Bwindi to Entebbe
You're driving from Bwindi to Entebbe today with a stop at the Equator along the way. You'll arrive in the late afternoon and check into a day room at Boma Hotel. Later, your guide will take you to the airport for your flight home.
