Itinerary
- Day 1
Kuusamo
You'll land at Kuusamo airport and transfer to Rajakartano guesthouse, which sits on Lake Hossanjärvi near Hossa National Park. After getting settled in your room, you'll meet your skiing guide and have dinner. Before bed, you'll get a briefing on what the week has in store for you.

Landmarks/POIs Hossa National Park Lake Hossanjärvi - Day 2
Hossa National Park
Today you ski through Hossa National Park on well-maintained tracks that wind through pine heathlands and ridgelines with different terrain to keep things interesting. Lunch happens at the Hossa Visitor Centre. Back at the guesthouse by afternoon, you'll have time to relax in a traditional Finnish sauna, and if you're feeling adventurous, there's optional ice swimming in the lake.

Martinselkonen Nature Reserve
You'll transfer to Martinselkonen Wilds Centre for a two-night stay. From there, you ski a circular route heading north into the nature reserve, moving through swamp areas, mires, and ponds surrounded by ancient forests with spruce trees covered in beard lichen. The terrain is mostly flat, and lunch comes at a wilderness hut along the way.

Martinselkonen Nature Reserve
This is the longest ski route of the week, heading south through Martinselkonen wilderness. You'll ski across frozen marshes and lakes that cut through dense, snow-laden forests. There's a break around an open fire where you can warm up and refuel before continuing.

Arola
You ski north through a protected nature reserve where ancient forests are home to Finland's large predators. Your destination is Arola guesthouse, known for its welcoming atmosphere and meals made from locally sourced ingredients. Keep an eye out for wildlife tracks in the snow along the way.

Arola
A day tour circles around Arola with a warming fire set up at the halfway point. Lunch includes hot soup and sandwiches to refuel. You'll head back to the guesthouse in the afternoon, then relax in the sauna before a farewell dinner featuring regional specialties served in the cosy log house.
