Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu to Lukla to Monzo

    You'll head to the domestic airport early for a 35-minute flight to Lukla. Once you land, you'll start trekking toward Monzo, which takes about 4 hours. The path offers constant views of the Himalayan mountains as you make your way up. By evening you'll reach a local lodge where you'll stay the night.

  2. Day 2

    Monzo to Namche Bazaar

    From Monzo, you'll trek to Namche Bazaar while entering Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trail winds through beautiful terrain where you might spot local wildlife. After several hours of walking, you'll arrive at Namche Bazaar, sitting at 11,270 ft and known as the unofficial capital of the Khumbu Region. You'll stay in a local lodge.

  3. Day 3

    Namche Bazaar

    This is your acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. You'll take a guided walk around the village with some shorter hikes to explore the area while your body adjusts to the altitude. Spending time here helps prepare you for higher elevations ahead. You'll stay another night in Namche Bazaar.

  4. Day 4

    Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

    You'll trek along a spiritual route that passes through monasteries and temples on the way to Tengboche. The trail goes through Kayangjuma, Sansa, and a pine forest before reaching Tengboche Monastery at 12,700 ft, the spiritual heart of the Khumbu region. You'll stay in a local lodge for the night.

  5. Day 5

    Tengboche to Dingboche

    Today you'll trek to Dingboche at 14,000 ft. You'll cross a suspension bridge with views of Ama Dablam mountain, then walk through opening valleys and cross the Lobuche River. The final stretch involves a steep climb into Dingboche. You'll stay in a local lodge.

  6. Day 6

    Dingboche to Lobuche

    You'll trek higher to Lobuche at 16,170 ft. Along the way you'll pass stone memorials for climbers who died on Mount Everest. From here, views open up to Nuptse, Cholatse, Thamserku, and other peaks. As the trail reaches the Khumbu Glacier moraine, you'll get closer views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal. You'll stay in a local lodge.

  7. Day 7

    Lobuche to Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep

    This is the trek's highlight. After lunch at Gorak Shep, you'll hike through the challenging Khumbu Icefall toward Everest Base Camp. You'll spend an hour at the camp taking in the views and the reality of being here. Then you'll trek back down to Gorak Shep where you'll stay the night.

  8. Day 8

    Gorak Shep to Kalapathar to Periche

    You'll hike up to Kalapathar at 5,555 m, the highest point on this trek and your best viewpoint for Mount Everest. From here you'll see countless peaks stretching across the horizon. Later you'll walk down to Periche at 4,280 m elevation for an overnight stay in a guest house.

  9. Day 9

    Periche to Khumjung

    You'll trek down to Khumjung, a beautiful village where Sherpa people live. You'll have the chance to learn about their culture and lifestyle during your time here. You'll stay overnight in a guest house in the village.

  10. Day 10

    Khumjung to Manjoo

    From Khumjung you'll trek to Manjoo on trails that go up and down through small valleys. Everest stays visible along much of the route. You'll see mani stones stretching across the path. You'll stay in a guest house.

  11. Day 11

    Manjoo to Lukla

    You'll trek from Manjoo back to Lukla, a 5-hour walk. Manjoo is a small village with scattered settlements, and from here the mountain views stretch far across the skyline behind the green hills. You'll stay in a local lodge.

    Lukla to Kathmandu

    You'll catch an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, about 35 minutes in the air. When you land, you'll transfer to your hotel to rest after your trek.

    • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Exciting Nepal Treks and Expedition . The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
