Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Germany
You'll arrive in Germany and check into your hotel, then have the afternoon and early evening to settle in and look around on your own. There's no structured activities scheduled, so you can rest or wander the local area. Later this evening, you'll meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at the hotel.

- Day 2
Cologne
This morning you'll board a Rhine cruise that takes you through the Rhineland with views of vineyards, castles, and small villages along the water. After the cruise wraps up, you'll head to Cologne, where you'll have free time to walk around the city center and see what interests you. The city has a relaxed, energetic feel to it.

- Day 3
Hamburg
You'll travel into Niedersachsen to visit Hamelin, a medieval town with old buildings and decorative gables tied to the Pied Piper legend. From there, you'll continue on to Hamburg, which sits on the water and served as Germany's major port for centuries. You'll have time to get oriented to the city.

Berlin
Start the day with an orientation drive through Hamburg to see the maritime heritage and major sights. Then you'll head to Lübeck, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was once a powerful Hanseatic trading city and home to several Nobel Prize winners. After Lübeck, you'll travel to Berlin and settle in for your first evening in Germany's capital.

- Day 5
Berlin
You'll take a guided city tour of Berlin with a local guide who can explain how the city blends historic sites and modern architecture. You'll see areas that show the contrast between old and new, and get a sense of how the city has transformed since the division. The tour covers major boulevards and key historical locations.

- Day 6
Leipzig
You'll travel southwest to Dresden, once called the Florence on the Elbe for its cultural significance. On a guided tour, you'll see the Zwinger Carillon Pavilion with its 40 bells that chime four times each hour. Later, you'll move on to Leipzig, where composers like Bach and Mendelssohn lived and worked, and where Mendelssohn established the conservatory back in 1843.

- Day 7
Coburg - Nuremberg
Leaving Leipzig, you'll head to Weimar, a city connected to important German intellectuals and the birthplace of the Bauhaus movement in the 1920s. Then you'll stop at Coburg to visit Veste Coburg Castle, originally built in 1225. From there, you'll continue to Nuremberg where you can walk through the town center, which is dominated by the old imperial castle.

Munich
As you leave Nuremberg, there's a photo stop at the famous Zeppelinfield. On the route to Munich, you'll visit Rothenburg, a medieval village with towers, walls, half-timbered buildings, and decorated fountains throughout. The town feels like you've stepped back several centuries, which is part of its appeal.

- Day 9
Munich
You'll take a guided sightseeing tour of Munich with a local guide who'll show you Marienplatz, the main square with its impressive architecture. You'll have free time to shop and visit one of the city's important museums. Munich's beer culture is also worth sampling while you're there.
