    Unfortunately one day less on the river than stated when booking. Good facilities; spacious, clean cabin. Spacious upper deck. Very good organization of the interesting excursions. The trip through the three gorges was really great, although the constant soundtrack from the commentator, who spoke only mediocre English, would have been dispensable. The food was varied and of excellent quality. Overall very good price/performance ratio

    The trip was very well organized by Silk Road Tour. The local tour guide and program were well coordinated and offered great insights with opportunities for independent exploration. A delicious and varied lunch was the daily highlight. The group was nice and small with four people. The tour guide and driver were responsive to special requests and I felt safe and comfortable.

    Are you able to help arrange visas or flights to Tibet from the UK? I have a British passport and wondered if you had advice how to apply for visa for the trip

      You need to apply China visa by your own to China Embassy. Regarding the flight to Tibet, you need to fly to Beijing, Shanghai, Xian or other major China cities where you can fly to Lhasa. And you need Tibet Permit for these flights, so you have to fly to these major China cities firstly. After you booked tour and got China visa, we can arrange the Tibet Permit for you.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before November 26th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 26th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Silk Road Trips. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
