- Day 1
Sedona
Your Sedona adventure kicks off with the Hangover Trail, an 8.6-mile hike that takes you across old wagon roads and up some serious sandstone steps along Schnebly Hill. The route rewards you with panoramic views of the canyons stretching out below. Once you finish at the trailhead, you'll head to Lo Lo Mai Campground to get your tent set up for the night. After that, there's time to walk along Oak Creek and cool off before dinner and settling in by the campfire.

Sedona
Today you're tackling Sedona's highest peak, climbing 7,122 feet over an 8.8-mile route with 2,250 feet of elevation gain. The hike moves through thick forest and opens up past red and white sandstone spires that rise up around you. You'll reach the summit and have a picnic lunch with views of the Red Rocks and Oak Creek Canyon laid out in front of you. From there, you head back down to camp where you can rest up and have dinner.

Landmarks Sedona's Highest Peak Oak Creek Canyon - Day 3
Sedona
This 7.5-mile hike starts near Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock, then climbs up into layered red rock shelves heading toward Cathedral Rock. The monolith dominates the landscape as you make your way through the terrain. Along Oak Creek, you'll stop for lunch in the shade and learn about the desert plants and indigenous history of the area. After finishing the hike through the towering cliffs, you'll return to camp and have dinner.

- Rest in shade of cottonwood trees lining Oak Creek
- Learn native and indigenous history of the area
- View petroglyphs depicting deer hunting history
- Complete hike among towering cliffs, sheer pinnacles and pristine canyons
- Shuttle back to Lo Lo Mai Campground
Landmarks Courthouse Butte Bell Rock Cathedral Rock Oak Creek - Day 4
Sedona
Your final day takes you on a moderate creek hike between 6 and 10 miles through a high desert oasis where you can swim if you want to. The creek provides shade with trees lining the water, and that's where you'll eat lunch. You have the choice to push further up into the Mogollon Rim or take an easier scenic route back. After that, you drive back to Sedona to wrap up your four days of hiking and head out.

- Creek hike to high desert oasis (6-10 miles, 400-1,400 feet elevation gain) with swimming
- Follow creek the entire way to swimming destination (approximately 3.5 miles in)

- Option to continue up into Mogollon Rim (1,100 feet above Wet Beaver Creek)
- Option to take scenic stroll back to trailhead
- View different side of Red Rock District
- Travel back to Sedona
