Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in New Delhi
You'll land in New Delhi and head to your hotel. If you arrive by 2pm, your tour leader will have a welcome meeting ready, and there's an optional city tour on offer. That tour takes you through the busy lanes of Chandni Chowk bazaar by rickshaw, then past the Red Fort and Jami Masjid Mosque. Show up later and your leader will fill you in on what happened while you were traveling.

New Delhi to Agra
This morning you'll see New Delhi's modern section, checking out the Lok Sabha parliament building, India Gate, and the Rajpath structures. From there, you'll drive to Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb, which sits in quiet gardens. After lunch, it's roughly a four-hour drive south to Agra.

Agra
An early start gets you to the Taj Mahal for sunrise, which is really the best time to see it. Later on you'll walk through Agra Fort and the Itimad-ud-Daulah, often called the Baby Taj. Grab lunch and try some local specialties around town. Before evening hits, head to Mehtab Bagh park for a different view of the monument. If you're interested, there's an optional cookery class before dinner.

Agra to Kalakho
Head out early to Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city from 1569 that's been well preserved. You'll walk through the Panch Mahal and Diwan-i-Khas, then visit Chand Baori stepwell, an old water storage structure that's about 1,000 years old. Later, drive to Kalakho, a small village with a family-run heritage hotel. Spend the evening in the gardens, watch the sunset, or join in with a family prayer ceremony if you'd like.

Kalakho to Jaipur
The morning is yours to shape. Walk through your host family's organic gardens and they'll show you what's growing and how it connects to local cooking, or just sleep in if that appeals to you more. After breakfast, say goodbye and drive about two hours to Jaipur, called the Pink City. Once there, check out Jantar Mantar, an observatory for star-gazing, then finish the day at City Palace with its textiles and costume collections.

Jaipur
Start at the Palace of the Winds, that distinctive five-story pink structure from around 1760. Next, head up to Amber Fort perched on the hillside, where you can see the Chamber of Mirrors and views across the plains. On your way back, stop by Jal Mahal Palace sitting out in Man Sagar Lake. The afternoon is open for you to wander Jaipur on your own, hitting up the bazaars for marble statues and textiles, or catching a Bollywood film at the Raj Mandir cinema.

Jaipur to Delhi
After breakfast, it's a six to seven-hour drive back to Delhi. During the drive, you'll stop at India's Heritage Transport Museum to see old carriages, bullock carts, vintage cars, and motorbikes. You'll arrive in Delhi with time for dinner featuring the city's local food.

Departure from New Delhi
Your tour finishes at the Delhi hotel. There's nothing scheduled, so you can leave whenever works for your flight. If you need to stick around, luggage storage is available for the day.
