- MFMatthias· June 2nd, 2025The tour was an excellent experience overall — stunning landscapes, friendly people, and a beautiful country to explore. I really enjoyed the journey. However, I was disappointed that we couldn't visit Song-Köl. The explanation about the weather was misleading — the camps simply weren’t open yet, which should have been communicated clearly beforehand. I could have booked for a later date. Also, the process of getting the visa invitation letter was frustrating and poorly handled, with slow and unclear communication from G and Sherpa. We started three months in advance, but Sherpa/G couldn’t get the eVisa on time. In the end, the "self organised" visa on arrival worked — but we still paid €200 for an unused eVisa service and LOI.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- Louis· May 9th, 2025Unfortunately I was unable to go on this tour. I required a visa for both countries which I declined for Kyrgyzstan twice without any explanation. I required a letter of invitation that GAdventures was to provide. This took very long and when I finally received them it did not leave much time for the Visas. I requested to change my tour before the 30 day period before I lost any my tour costs but the declined to allow that. I had to cancel my trip so that I at least got 50% back. I will never use them again. I have gone back to Intrepid.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your experience, Louis. - Hsiao-Ching· June 30th, 2024Ivan is a very knowedgable CEO of the tour. He gives very good summary of the history of both Kyurgystan and Kazhakstsn. I really enjoy the tour itinerary which allows us to try out various accomodation (Kyurgys cabin, yurt by the lake, and Russian garden house). It also highlights minority cture, takes us to engage in conversations with Uyigurs and Dungane people, as well as learning about making yurts. I feel.that I have a good understanding of the country after the trip. The first accomodation in Bishkek and the second to the last in Saty village could improve, but overall I like the plan of the trip.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for your feedback and beautiful photos, Hsiao-Ching! We will pass on your feedback concerning the first two accommodations to the appropriate teams.Trip date: June 2024

- AMatthew Ryan· September 29th, 2022Great group of people on this tour and probably one of the best I've been with. Everyone got along quite well and the tour itself went above my expectations. I was not prepared for the cold temperatures at the first YURT experience but that was probably my own fault and also trying to cut down on the amount of things I needed to bring. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, if there was an extra day in Almaty.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThanks for your feedback. - AGraham Reilly· September 20th, 2022A rustic, whistle-stop tour through north-east Kyrgyzstan and a small pocket of south-west Kazakhstan. Landscapes abound with the occasional cultural offering. Interesting to compare and contrast Bishkek and Almaty. Be mindful of the altitude and its effects.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi there! Thank you for your positive feedback. Asked on December 23rd, 2024Will we be at high altitude? Is the ascent slow? Can altitude sickness happen? Do you have oxygen bottles?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
Highest altitude reached on this tour is 3016 meters above sea level. The ascent is taken slow and not rushed. Altitude sickness can happen usually someone will feel it around 6 to 12 hours of arrival at altitude. The group stays overnight in a Yurt on the day you go up. It is rare for someone to feel ill. The tour leader will have first aid and will assit anyone who feels sick. They do not carry Oxygen bottles. These bottles can be purchased prior to the ascent if you feel like it might be needed.

Asked on May 31st, 2024Is it possible to take a tour in Kyrgyzstan with this group (16) of people? I would like the highlights such as sleeping in a yurt, a horse walk, eagle hunting, nice, not too long walks in nature and the fairy rock formation, staying at some lakes... so that it is also very varied for the children and not too tiring. We can travel for a maximum of 9 days and I would like the budget to be between 1000 and 1200 euros P.P. given the additional costs. -Can you make a proposal, please? Thank you -The trip is planned for the summer of 2025

Traveler•Written June 2024Hello Patrick, hello Jasmijn. 1) My most important question is: can we do this trip with al the members of my familie? A baby of 8 months and 2 grandparents of 75 and 77 years old. 2) I was surprised that the price of this tour now is rising with almost 80 euro p.p. I hope You will make me a better offer.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written June 2024
Although we can operate this as a private adventure, the age requirements are still the same as a public trips in that the minimum age we will accept is 12 years old for this trip. This is a strict policy we must adhere too.

Gregory
Traveler•Written June 2024Is there any trip we can make with the whole familie? What do you recommend? And at almost the same price?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written June 2024
As mentioned below the minimium is 12 on this trip abd we do not offer any Family Tours to this region. Our Family Tours also have a minimum age requirement of 7 or 9 years old so we definitely can not book an 8 month old.
