Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Asheville

    You'll arrive in Asheville and get settled at the hotel where your group meets up. From there, head over to Sierra Nevada Brewing compound for a tour of the facility and samples of their award-winning beers. Dinner happens right there on the grounds while you go over the next three days, get safety information, and review the full itinerary details. It's a good way to relax after travel and meet everyone before the hiking starts.

  2. Day 2

    Linville Gorge - Asheville

    After breakfast, you'll shuttle about 2 hours to Linville Gorge in Pisgah National Forest. Start with a 1.6 mile round trip walk to three viewpoints of Linville Falls at the visitor center. Then head to Table Rock Mountain for a more demanding 8.5 mile hike that gains 2,000 feet with sweeping views over Linville Gorge. You'll have a picnic lunch on top and can cool off in the river below. On the way back, stop at Highland Brewing Company, then finish the day with dinner at a restaurant downtown in Asheville.

  3. Day 3

    Pisgah National Forest - Asheville

    You'll eat breakfast first, then take about a 1 hour shuttle to Looking Glass Rock, one of the region's most iconic spots in Pisgah National Forest. The hike covers 6.4 miles with 1,650 feet elevation gain to the summit, which offers great views and a picnic lunch prepared by your guide. After descending, stop at Looking Glass Falls for photos and to wade in the water. The drive home takes you along the Blue Ridge Parkway with stops at scenic overlooks. Back in Asheville, spend your evening walking to breweries and trying local food trucks.

  4. Day 4

    Blue Ridge Parkway - Asheville

    Start with an Appalachian breakfast, then shuttle 1 hour to the trailhead near Blue Ridge Parkway. You'll hike 10 miles with 1,300 feet elevation gain to Shining Rock, which has unusual white quartzite cliff bands. Following the Art Loeb Trail, you'll cross multiple mountain summits and saddles to reach the top. A guide-prepared picnic lunch waits there with remarkable views. The descent uses Ivestor Gap Trail for different scenery and terrain that's a bit easier on the legs. After a 1 hour shuttle back to Asheville, you'll wrap up the 4-day Brews and Views adventure.

    • For any tour departing before February 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of $460 is required to confirm your booking with Wildland Trekking. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Wildland Trekking will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
