Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
Start your morning at Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, where you'll climb up the hilltop to take in views across Kathmandu while learning about the site's religious importance. From there, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square to see the ancient royal palace and the shrine of the Living Goddess Kumari, which your guide will explain in detail. After lunch, make your way to Pashupatinath, a major Hindu temple sitting along the Bagmati River where you can observe the sacred rituals and architecture. Finish the day at Boudhanath, Nepal's largest stupa, where you'll walk around the white dome and see pilgrims circling the structure. Your guide will tie together the cultural and spiritual meaning of all four locations throughout the day.
