Itinerary
- Day 1
Machha Khola
After breakfast, you'll head into a forest of Sal trees where the trail gradually climbs upward. Along the way, you'll pass waterfalls and terraced ridges while walking narrow paths that hug the cliffsides. The route takes you down to rice paddies before climbing back up to Labubensi village. You'll cross a suspension bridge at Nauli Khola falls, then continue on to Machha Khola village where you'll end the day.

Tatopani
The trail goes up and down repeatedly as you make your way to Khorlabesi after crossing the Tharo Khola. Once there, more climbs and descents follow before you reach a small hot spring at Tatopani. From Tatopani, you'll climb over another ridge and use a suspension bridge to cross the Budhi Gandaki river.

Phillim
You'll walk to Salleri and then descend to Sirdibas, a village where Buddhist prayer flags and gompas decorate the area. There are stops along the route where you can try local alcohol if interested. Before reaching Phillim, your permits get checked, and then you'll continue walking along the western bank of the river.

Namrung
This is a challenging day on the Manaslu Circuit, hiking from 8 am until 3 pm. You'll start with a steep climb up to Bhee Phedi, a local village with mountain views and places serving gumbos and Mani walls. The route takes you through forested areas where wild monkeys sometimes appear, passing through Ghap before reaching Namrung by late afternoon.

Lihi
Starting from Namrung village, which has excellent views of Siring and Ganesh Himal with Mt. Himal Chuli visible to the south, you'll climb steadily through forests. The path leads to Lihi, a fine village that features many chortens and barley terraces throughout.

Sama Gaon
This is an acclimatization day at Sama Gaon to help your body adjust and prevent altitude sickness. You'll take a climb to Pungyen Gompa on the east side of the Nubri Valley as part of the acclimatization process. Bring a packed lunch for rest stops along the way, and expect to cross a raging river during approximately two hours of trekking.

Bimthang
An early start is essential for trekking to Larkya La Pass at 5160m, which can get difficult with severe weather or snow but is doable. You must cross before midday for safety reasons. On a clear day, you'll see Himlung at 7126m, Kang Guru at 6981m, and Annapurna II at 7937m. After the pass, you'll descend for about three hours to Bimthang, passing glacier viewpoints including Pongkar Tal and impressive icefalls.

Bimthang to Glacier Area
A short climb leads you to a valley on the north side of the Larkya Glaciers with great views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. You'll trek across glacier moraines with a gradual ascent that becomes steeper only near the final section of the pass.

Goa
This is mostly downhill and flat walking for the final day on the trail. The trek from Bhimthang to Yak Kharka takes about 2.5 hours with only two hotels in between. You'll then walk 2 hours more to Sokhe for a quick rest. From there, head to Goa, a Gurung people village, where you'll stop for lunch around 1 pm.

Kathmandu
From Dharapani, you'll take a sharing jeep to Beshi Sahar and board a public bus for the 6 to 7 hour drive back to Kathmandu. After arriving, you'll settle into one of Kathmandu's upscale hotels for the night.
