Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu Arrival
A Scenic Nepal Treks and Expedition representative meets you at the international airport and drives you to your hotel. Once you settle in, you'll get a briefing covering what to expect during the trek ahead and how the days will be structured.
- Day 2
Kathmandu
Kathmandu is yours to explore or rest as you prefer. Your guide will check over your trekking equipment and handle permit paperwork. If you want to wander around the city, there's plenty to see, but this day also works well for recovering from your flight and getting ready mentally for the trek.

- Day 3
Kathmandu to Sotikhola
Early in the morning, you'll hop into a local jeep heading to Sotikhola. The drive goes through Dhadingbeshi on a paved road, then transitions to gravel roads through the hills. Along the way, you'll pass through rural villages and small towns where you can see how the hilly communities of Nepal live. The route continues via Aarughat and Aarkhet before reaching Soti Khola.

- Day 4
Sotikhola to Machha Khola
Your trek starts through Sal forests with the Budigandaki River running alongside. The trail gets rough and you'll encounter more than two waterfalls during the walk. You'll move through terraced farmland, villages of different ethnic groups, and thick green forests before stopping for the night at Machha Khola.

- Day 5
Machha Khola to Jagat
This day brings both uphill and downhill sections. You'll cross Thado Khola through a rough gorge to reach Khorla Besi, and there are natural hot springs to visit along the way. After crossing the Budigandaki River several times, you'll head toward Yaru Khola and then climb stone-paved stairs leading into Jagat for the night.

Jagat to Chisopani
You'll trek along the edges of Salleri and Sirdibas, passing green forests and water mills. Philim Village stands out on this route because Japanese trekkers built a school there, and it's a significant settlement for Gurung people. The village offers real insight into local life and culture.

Chisopani to Chumling
After crossing Ekle Bhatti, you'll see a nice waterfall. From here, the landscape starts changing as you move into the Tsum area. You'll get good views of Himalchuli Mountain and Bouddha Himal. Once you cross the Siyar River, Chumling Gompa comes into view with excellent sightlines to Shringi Himal.

- Day 8
Chumling to Chokhangparo
Ganesh Himal views accompany your trek today. You'll pass through Rainjam village and Serpu Khola, then from Gho Village, you'll head into the deeper parts of Tsum Valley, finishing the day at Chokhangparo.

Chokhangparo to Nile
You'll walk past Phurbe, Pangdun, and Chhule on your way to Nile. A nunnery gompa is worth exploring along the route. If time allows, your guide can arrange a cultural performance by local residents, which provides a nice connection to the area.

Landmarks Nunnery Gompa - Day 10
Nile to Mu Gompa
From here, you can see the Tibetan side of the region. Trek up to Mu Gompa and visit several cloisters. The rest of your day involves walking through Dhephu Doma Gompa and the landscape around it, soaking in the spiritual atmosphere of these religious sites.

Landmarks Mu Gompa Dhephu Doma Gompa - Day 11
Mu Gompa
Mu Gompa is the largest and most remote religious site in Tsum Valley, so you'll have the full day to explore this significant monastery at your own pace. Alternatively, if you're interested in something different, your guide can arrange a short hike to Pika Himal Base Camp instead.

- Day 12
Mu Gompa to Burgi
You'll trek back using the eastern side of the Shiyar River, passing through Chhule and Phurbe. Burgi is a beautiful town where you can see Milarepa's Cave. From this spot, there are great views of Poshyop glacier, Churke Mountain, and Kipu Himal stretching across the landscape.

- Day 13
Burgi to Chumling
As you head downhill, the vegetation becomes greener and fuller. Continue walking through Gho Village and Sarpu Khola in the lower Tsum area. After exploring this lower region, you'll arrive back at Chumling to settle in for the night.

Chumling to Philim
After breakfast, head toward Lokpa and take a lunch break near Samba waterfall. After roughly 6 hours of walking, you'll reach Philim village, which sits on the way to Ganesh Himal Base Camp.

- Day 15
Philim to Tatopani
You'll trek through Jagat and Tatopani. The natural hot springs here are optional but worth trying, especially to relieve tired legs and enjoy their therapeutic qualities. From this point, the setting becomes more traditionally hilly rather than distinctly Himalayan in character.

- Day 16
Tatopani to Sotikhola
Cross Thado Khola and pass through Machha Khola village. From Lapubeshi, a Gurung village, you'll descend down to Soti Khola, which sits on the banks of the Budigandaki River.

Sotikhola to Kathmandu
A local jeep takes you from Soti Khola back to Kathmandu. The drive includes several notable stops along the highway. Aarughat, Taaribeshi, Golabhanjyang, Dhadingbeshi, and Malekhu are highway towns, each with their own character and local significance worth noting.

Kathmandu Departure
A private vehicle will take you to the airport. Scenic Nepal Treks and Expedition representatives will travel with you and see you off, marking the end of your trek experience.
