- Jenny· September 24th, 2025The 7 Days Lhasa–Mt. Everest–Kathmandu Tour was an amazing experience! The Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and of course Everest Base Camp were unforgettable highlights. Tenzin is experienced, very helpful, and resourceful. He made us feel like a family. Even though the Gyirong border bridge was damaged and we had to cross via Zhangmu, Emily handled everything smoothly. They arranged Jeeps on the Nepal side, and we arrived safely in Kathmandu without any stress. Truly professional service and a once-in-a-lifetime journey!Show moreTrip date: September 2025

- Ddoncure· December 4th, 2019My Tibet tour with a great Tibet tour is amazing. My fellow travelers were very nice, all from the UK, the tour also went really well, the hotels were also very good. The round trip flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu is amazing. I suggest you choose the windows seat. You can view the Mount Qomolangma scenery. So please hold on to my passport copy, I might want to do the 15-day tour, to the western part of Tibet, in one or two years.Show moreTrip date: November 2019
- KKyraKSl· October 22nd, 2019I would like to say that Tibet has been one of the highlights of my China tour. The scenery of Tibet is amazing-lakes, mountains, grass and blue sky. I entered Tibet from Chengdu and do the overland tour to Nepal via friendship high way. The culture in Tibet is unique in many ways. I was very lucky to be assigned to a group of six interesting travelers from different countries. My tour guide is Dajie. He was the one responsible for the success of our tour. He took care of everyone in our group. He always answers our questions patiently. I recommend to anyone who would like to travel to Tibet-choose Great Tibet Tour as your travel agency in Tibet.Show moreTrip date: September 2019
- KKennyb09p· August 2nd, 2019Me and my friend from Nepal were part of an 5 member group tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu. Our tour consultant was Catherine and tour guide was Luosang. Catherine was very professional and helpful in helping me select a perfect date to start the tour on 24th June 2019, 3 days after my summer holidays. I could not get direct train ticket from Beijing (where I live) to Lhasa. Her advice to me to break the journey instead of taking the direct train was very useful. With this, we were able to take a train to Xian from Beiijing and spend two nights there. From Xian, it wasn't difficult to get train tickets to Xining and to Lhasa. We were warmly welcomed by tour guide Luosang, who speaks very good English, and is very knowledgeable about Lhasa, Tibet and Buddhism. He was able to provide in depth information about monasteries and temples. It was a once in a life time journey for the soul and the body travelling at high altitude for 7 days. Thank you for making this tour comfortable and possible. This tour is highly recommended for anyone trying to clean their soul and body.Show moreTrip date: June 2019

Asked on September 16th, 2024Do they also assume the cost of the Chinese visa? Do we book through Tourradar or direct with the opeator? Are you still running the group tours on these dates? Can I apply for the visa from Canada, and join a tour from Kathmandu?
- Great Tibet TourOperator•Written September 2024
Our itinerary excludes the China Visa fee. During your China Visa application, if Chinese embassies request more details of your tour, we are happy and capable of providing you with the supporting docs for you to apply for China visa. Please note that do not mention Tibet when apply for the China Visa. We usually arrange a jeep from Gyirong Border to Kathmandu with USD80. The itinerary on Touradar includes the transfer fee, while our website excludes it, however, we can add this service per your request. You can book on both channels. We haven't a tour from Kathmandu. This itinerary is from Lhasa to Kathmandu. You can apply for China Visa in Canada. It usually takes one month to apply for the China Visa. We have a group departure on 4/10 Nov. I suggest you arrive in Lhasa on 4/10 Nov to join this tour.

Traveler•Written September 2023look Im interest in this tour because I need to cross to Nepal, could you explain how Can you help me with that ?
- Great Tibet TourOperator•Written September 2023
If you are applying for a China visa, the No.1 principle is not to mention Tibet. If you mention Tibet, China Embassy would require you to present Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit; but here in Tibet, the Tibet Tourism Bureau would NOT issue TTB until your China Visa copy is provided.
