    This tour was by far one of the most amazing experiences of my life. This was my first time travelling to a Southeast Asian country by myself but I felt safe and welcomed the entire time. I enjoyed observing beautiful rice terraces, meeting friendly village people, and learning lots about Ifugao culture from my tour guide. The opportunity to stay in a guest house in one of the small villages gave me the chance to truly appreciate the simplistic life of the village people. My tour guide, Marvin Bunaton was a wonderful guide to have. He gave me lots of valuable information about Ifugao culture and made sure I was safe the entire time. I am very lucky to have had him as a tour guide. I recommend this trip to everyone who loves hiking and beautiful sceneries! If I ever come back to the Philippines, I will bring my loved ones and do this tour all over again!

    Although my trek was very challenging, I enjoyed every bit of it. My tour guide Jonathan was an amazing companion throughout my tour making me feel at home. Would definitely recommend it this tour of Banaue, Batad etc

    As a 62 year old trekker wanting to walk the amazing scenery of the Banaue rice fields this tour allowed me to take a suitable path to see as much as possible even with the backpack, while learning about the local cultures and lifestyle.

    Jody was completely wonderful. Professional, knowledgeable, smart, fun, efficient, caring, all the things a good guide should be. Cute smile with a patient disposition. I felt very lucky to spend time with him. I learned so much from him. His love of Ifugao, sang through every word he spoke. I would do it all again just to spend time with him.

    Is the trek suitable for those afraid of heights?

      Parts of the trail walk along narrow rice paddies which can be high and slippery. Assistance can be provided by the guide if you are uncomfortable with heights.

      Have the restaurant prepare a packed lunch such as a sandwich that’s easy to eat on the trail. Ensure you carry about 2 liters of bottled water only.

    Are there any special instructions for taking the bus?

      You need to arrive at the bus station about 40 minutes before departure. During the ride, make sure to wear a sweater as the air conditioning is very cold. The bus makes two short stops where you can use the bathroom and buy food.

      Bottled water is available for purchase in Banaue before starting your hike and also at various villages like Cambulo, Batad, and Bangaan along the trek.

    Does that mean they will spend the night sleeping in the transportation? Could you provide more details about this?

      The first night is spent traveling overnight in a bus. The bus ride takes 9 hours and leaves Manila at 10PM.
