Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu where someone from the company meets you for the transfer to your hotel. That evening, you get to meet the other trekkers and tour members before you settle in for the night.

Landmarks Tribhuvan International Airport - Day 2
Kathmandu to Beni
The drive takes you out of Kathmandu through scenic hills, dropping down into the Trishuli River valley and then heading up along the Marsyangdi River. You'll pass terraced fields and small hill towns on the way to Pokhara, where you can see Phewa Lake with the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in the distance. From there, the route climbs via zigzagging roads to Naudanda before descending through Nayapul with views of Annapurna South and Fish Tail mountain. By evening you'll reach the camping spot in Beni along the Mardi River.

Beni to Babiachaur
You start trekking west along the north bank of the Myagdi Khola through small villages. Along the way, you'll cross two bridges near Simalchour before continuing on the north bank to Babiachor where you'll camp for the night.

Landmarks Myagdi Khola Simalchour - Day 4
Babiachaur to Dharapani
A wide, graveled trail takes you to Darbang where you cross a suspension bridge. After that, the path narrows as it passes through terraces and traditional villages with another suspension bridge crossing ahead. You'll trek gently upward through sparse forests of rhododendron, pine, and oak trees. Eventually you reach a green ridge surrounded by villages and jungles before arriving at Dharapani, a large village with traditional stone houses.

Landmarks Darbang - Day 5
Dharapani to Muri
You'll descend through villages and cross a suspension bridge over the river, then hike uphill through villages, sparse forests, and terraces until you reach another ridge. From there, the trail levels out as you continue to Muri, a small village. On clear days, you can see Manapathi Peak and the Dhaulagiri range from here.

Muri to Baghar
Starting with a gentle descent, you cross a rocky stream before heading downhill through terraced fields to Dhora Khola. After crossing the river, you climb to Ghorban Dhara where you'll get your first view of Ghustung South at 6465m. The trail then crosses the mountainside carefully above the Myagdi Khola gorge. Later you descend through forested area to a ridge where Bagara at 2080m becomes visible, ending with a final descent through terraced fields to this mountain village.

Baghar to Dobang
This is where things change as you leave villages behind and the trail gets noticeably harder. You'll follow the right bank past Naura, then start climbing the mountainside. After a short climb, the path crosses a steep grass-covered hill as the Myagdi Khola narrows into a tight V-shaped gorge. The trail winds around steep, grassy slopes with carefully built stone steps requiring careful footing.

Landmarks Naura Myagdi Khola - Day 8
Dobang to Sallaghari
You'll trek gently uphill for several hours through forests of bamboo, pine, and rhododendrons with sections going both up and down. By the time you reach Sallaghari, your camping spot surrounded by pine forest at the bank of the Myagdi River, you'll have covered a good distance at a steady pace.

Landmarks Myagdi River - Day 9
Sallaghari to Italian Base Camp
Bamboo forest covers the entire route to Italian Base Camp. You'll cross small bridges and navigate through jungles, making this a strenuous and difficult day. When you reach the open field at Italian Base Camp, you'll find two small tea houses with basic supplies. From here, you can see the Dhaulagiri range, Manapathi Peak, Dhaulagiri II, and other unnamed peaks stretching across the horizon.

Italian Base Camp to Glacier Camp
You'll cross your first glacier, probably using rope at a couple of tricky sections, before climbing onto the main glacier. The surroundings are rough and challenging but visually striking. You may need to use rope again on this section. This is a particularly tough day overall that requires good physical fitness and focus.

Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp
This is the most important trekking day of your entire trip. The rough rubble gradually transitions to smooth ice as you climb steadily toward Dhaulagiri Base Camp, the ultimate destination of your trek.

Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden Valley
Getting off the glacier above base camp often requires rope climbing to navigate the steep moraine walls. Once past that section, the terrain becomes gentler and less strenuous. You'll then climb to French Col at 5300m where the views of Hidden Valley open up dramatically. This broad valley looks like Tibet and Ladakh, and temperatures drop to around minus 20°F/minus 29°C at night.

Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka
You'll traverse slopes prone to avalanches before making the steep descent to Yak Kharka. Much of this day takes you through bare land with little shelter but stark mountain views that make the hard work worthwhile.

Yak Kharka to Marpha
More steep descents bring you to Marpha, a small town with a mixed community of Buddhists and Hindus. The trail has sparse tree coverage and you'll see herds of yaks and sheep along the way. In and around Marpha's monastery, you can observe prayer walls and prayer flags moving in the mountain winds, showing spiritual devotion.

Marpha to Pokhara
The drive from Marpha back to Pokhara covers about 165 km in roughly 5 to 6 hours. You'll descend from Mustang's arid highlands through Nepal's varied landscapes following the Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the world's deepest. Towering views of Dhaulagiri at 8167m and Annapurna at 8091m surround you. The rough terrain gradually smooths out as you descend through Tatopani, known for natural hot springs where people often stop to relax. The road winds past lush hills, terraced farmlands, and rural villages before going through Beni. Arriving in Pokhara, you'll see Phewa Lake with the Annapurna range reflected in the water.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
The drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes you through Damauli, Dumre, Muglin, and Kurintar where Nepal's first cable car connects to Manakamana Temple. From Naubishe you climb to Thankot, the gateway to Kathmandu. That evening, you can shop in Thamel for souvenirs before attending a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant with a cultural performance.

Kathmandu Departure
A representative from Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours will transfer you to the airport about 3 hours before your scheduled flight, giving you time for check-in and preparation for your next adventure.
