Itinerary
- Day 1
Christchurch to Methven
You'll start with group introductions and a trip briefing, then head to Christchurch Adventure Park for zip lining. The course has New Zealand's highest (150m) and longest (1km+) ziplines with dual racing lines and views over forests, Christchurch City, and the Southern Alps. After lunch, walk through a secret hiking spot that has waterfalls and panoramic views of the Canterbury Plains. You'll stop at Rakaia Gorge before driving to Methven for the evening.

- Day 2
Methven to Lake Tekapo
You're driving through Canterbury Plains and Southern Alps foothills via Peel Forest to reach the Rangitata River for white-water rafting. This river has the longest sections of grade 5 rapids in New Zealand at all water levels. After a full safety brief and on-water training, you'll paddle through increasingly challenging sections with the option to walk around grade 5 rapids if needed. Following a classic Kiwi BBQ, you'll head to Lake Tekapo for the evening, known for its turquoise waters and stargazing.

Lake Tekapo to Wanaka
You're continuing south through the MacKenzie High Country with views across Lake Pukaki to Aoraki Mt Cook (3,724m). You'll cross the Lindis Pass into New Zealand's Southern Lakes region, then stop for lunch on the shores of Lake Wanaka. From there, you'll cross the fords to Mount Aspiring National Park and into the Matukituki Valley for an afternoon return hike to Rob Roy Glacier.

Wanaka
You have a full free day in Lake Wanaka to relax and enjoy the scenery of this Southern Alps lakeside town. You can rest, walk around, or do some souvenir shopping. Your guide can help arrange optional activities including kayaking, rock climbing, canyoning, scenic helicopter flights, lake cruises, or skydiving if you're interested.

Wanaka to Queenstown
You're departing Wanaka late morning and driving through the historic Cardrona Valley and over the Crown Range to Queenstown. After lunch, your afternoon is free to explore this mountain town. There are countless options available including mountain biking, day hikes, hang gliding, paragliding, bungy jumping, canyon swinging, luge rides, jet sprints, skydiving, helicopter flights, Lord of the Rings tours, and wine tours in Gibbston Valley.

- Day 7
Queenstown to Lake Te Anau
You're leaving Queenstown with optional bungy jumping opportunities from the legendary Kawarau Bungy Bridge (the world's first bungy site), the 134m Nevis Bungy, or the Nevis Swing (the world's highest swing). After lunch, you'll drive to Lake Te Anau, which serves as the gateway to Fiordland National Park and your base for the next two nights. In the evening, there's an optional lake cruise to see glowworms in the cave systems with mountain and lake views.

You're heading deep into Fiordland National Park for a full-day sea kayaking adventure on Milford Sound. You'll drive the Milford Road first, then paddle amongst towering peaks, hanging valleys, and thundering waterfalls while watching for NZ fur seals, dolphins, and Fiordland crested penguins. This area is known for its dramatic landscape and water-based views.

- Day 9
Fiordland to Queenstown
You're departing Fiordland for a cross-country mountain bike adventure through remote glacial valleys, finishing at Walter Peak homestead on Lake Wakatipu shores. The ride is approximately 35km and typically takes 3.5 to 4 hours including a picnic lunch with incredible lake and glacier views. Electric bikes are available if you prefer. Later, you'll enjoy a cruise back to Queenstown Bay aboard the historic TSS Earnslaw steamship or Lady of the Lake.

You'll end your tour with an iconic jet boating ride through the Shotover Canyons. You'll speed through narrow canyons doing 360-degree spins in this Kiwi invention that helped put Queenstown on the map as the adventure capital. It's a high-energy finish to an action-packed journey through New Zealand's Southern Island.
