Itinerary
- Day 1
Huayro - Santa María
After breakfast you'll travel through scenic villages and landscapes to reach Abra Malaga Mountain at 4,350m (14,272ft). From there it's a 3-hour descent on mountain bikes through rural villages, rivers, and orchards to Huayro where lunch is waiting. Later you'll head to Santa María for some river rafting, then return to Huayro for the evening.

Inca Carcel - Pumachaca - Cocalmayo Springs - Santa Teresa
After breakfast a private bus takes you to Pasto Grande where you'll start a 4-hour hike through high forest with coffee and cocoa plantations surrounding you. Along the way you'll visit the archaeological site of Inca Carcel, then continue along the Inca road to Pumachaca for lunch. The day winds down at Cocalmayo Hot Springs where you can relax before heading back to your lodging in Santa Teresa.

Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes
After breakfast you'll descend for about 1.5 hours to the Ahobamba river, then take a bus to the Zip Line site and Hot Springs (the zip lining is optional). Following your time there, you'll travel to Hydroelectric for lunch. After that comes a hike through the Inca jungle past waterfalls and coffee and coca farms, arriving in Aguas Calientes around 4pm. You'll gather for dinner and get briefed about the trek to Machu Picchu in the evening.

Landmarks/POIs Ahobamba River - Day 4
Ollantaytambo - Cusco
You'll start early to catch sunrise at Machu Picchu, then enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the site with free time to explore on your own afterward. If you have Huayna Picchu reservations, you can do a steep 2.5-hour hike with rewarding views. In the afternoon you'll descend to Aguas Calientes, board a train to Ollantaytambo, and return to Cusco arriving in the late afternoon.
