Itinerary
- Day 1
Iquitos to Maniti Lodge
You'll leave Iquitos by car and head to Nanay port, then board a boat for a 70 km journey downriver toward Maniti Lodge. During the ride, keep an eye out for caimans, turtles, herons, pink river dolphins, and other wildlife along the banks. Once you arrive, there's a stop at Monkey Island where you can watch different monkey species up close and even hold anacondas and boas. The island also has alligators, turtles, and tropical birds. Later in the day, you'll join a dolphin watching session, and after sunset, you'll take a nocturnal nature hike to see what the jungle looks like at night.

- Day 2
Maniti Lodge
Start early to catch the sunrise over the Amazon River, then head out by boat for animal observation as the morning light hits the water. By afternoon, you'll go fishing with a chance to catch piranha and catfish. The day includes viewing the Victoria Regia aquatic plant, which is quite something to see in person. As the sun starts to set, you'll take a canoe out to spot and photograph caimans before heading back to the lodge for the evening.

Maniti Lodge
Wake up early for sunrise and animal observation from the boat. After that, you'll visit a local village where locals can show you how they live and explain their customs and traditions. The afternoon opens up with flexible options for exploring nearby lagoons and tributaries. You can choose to go jungle hiking, take a canoe ride, try fishing, learn about plants, watch for animals, or swim depending on what interests you. The day wraps up with a nocturnal nature hike to see the jungle's nighttime activity.

- Day 4
Palo Alto
You'll start with a 30 to 45 minute jungle hike to reach Palo Alto Mirador, a multi-level observation deck that gives you bird's-eye views of the Amazon from three different heights: 5, 10, and 15 meters above ground. Spend the day in the area with options for more hiking, canoe rides in lagoons, or fishing. As evening comes, there's a night nature walk to spot wildlife. You can choose to sleep at the observation deck itself in a tent or hammock, or head back to the main lodge for the night.

- Day 5
Maniti Lodge
Begin with a morning bird watching session from Palo Alto, then return to the Maniti Lodge area to explore lagoons near Rio Napo. The afternoon offers options like trekking, canoe rides, fishing, identifying plants and birds, or swimming. Lunch happens in the late afternoon when you're back at the lodge. In the evening, you'll take a boat excursion specifically to look for white and black caimans, night birds, and other reptiles as the sun goes down.

- Day 6
Maniti Lodge to Iquitos
Start with an early morning jungle hike to observe monkeys, birds, and other wildlife in their natural habitat while learning about Amazonian plants from your guide. After that, you'll depart Maniti Lodge and head back toward Iquitos City. Along the way, there's a visit to a local native Indian tribe where you can learn about their history and customs. From there, you'll transfer to either the airport or your hotel, which marks the end of your tour.
