I also loved the Perito Moreno hike and boat ride as well as my extra excursion day of trekking on the glacier - our guides were so knowledgeable and wanted us to interact by asking great questions of us and then giving us information. I also enjoyed the Torres Del Paine, however I wished that we had more time to hike and learn about the flora. I felt a little rushed that day, and really wanted more time. I realize the driving takes so much time, so I would, as only a suggestion, make an earlier pick up so visitors could spend more time and learn more at Torres Del Paine. It was in a good location, attractive, friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, and the bathrooms were modern. My favorite excursion was Perito Moreno glacier, because we got close to the glacier and had time to absorb the beauty from many angles and take pictures. However, I enjoyed them all for different reasons. Our guide in Torres del Paine was easy to understand and very nice. I remember she lives in a small town, has two young children, really loves her work, and it shows. The guide who was with us to the Chilean border spoke particularly good English and explained the border crossing very well. My hotel was upgraded and the excursions to Perito Moreno and Torres Del Paine day trips were excellent. My favourite hotel was Mirador Del Lago in El Calafate. Very good service at both hotels. The meals in the restaurants were delicious.
