- Day 1RocamadourYou'll arrive in Rocamadour, a major pilgrimage destination that sits dramatically on a clifftop in southwestern France. After checking into Hotel Les Esclargies, you can settle into this quiet property, which features its own private pool surrounded by parkland. It's a good spot to rest after your journey and get oriented before exploring the area. - Meals

- Day 2Rocamadour to MeyronneToday focuses on Rocamadour's UNESCO-listed village, where you'll walk through ancient chapels and the medieval sanctuary built right into the clifftside. Later, you'll travel to Grottes de Lacave to see the cave formations, then head to Meyronne. Your accommodation is a converted 11th century chateau hotel, which gives you a real sense of staying somewhere with serious history. - Day 3MeyronneThis day is yours to shape. You could spend time by the hotel pool, take a walk out to Rocher Sainte-Marie and Grottes de Lacave, or go back to Rocamadour to visit the Black Madonna shrine. If you're up for something more adventurous, a taxi can take you to Gouffre de Padirac, where you'll explore a massive underground chasm and cave system by boat. The choice depends on what appeals to you. Optional Activities- Relax by hotel pool

- Day 4Meyronne to SouillacYou'll leave Meyronne on the GR6 path, which takes you along Roc de Monges with wide views of the river valley below. The walk passes through quiet hamlets and open farmland, and you'll see Chateau de la Treyne along the way. By afternoon, you reach Souillac, a small town with real character that sits on the river. - Day 5SouillacSouillac gives you flexibility to explore on your own terms. There's the Musee de l'Automate if mechanical toys and vintage dolls interest you, as it holds France's largest collection. Or you might walk out to La Durantie for views across the Dordogne Valley. Either way, it's a relaxed day in this small riverside town. Optional Activities- Wander around Souillac

- Day 6Souillac to SarlatA transfer takes you to Chateau de Fenelon, and from there you'll walk along the south bank of the Dordogne through Perigord Nord. You'll follow what used to be a railway line, now converted to a greenway path called a voie verte, which leads into Sarlat. This medieval town is the heart of Perigord Noir, and you'll have time to get acquainted with its layout and atmosphere. Included Activities- Walk along south bank of Dordogne River

 Landmarks/POIs Chateau de Fenelon Dordogne River Sarlat 
- Day 7SarlatSarlat deserves a full day to wander properly. The old town has narrow lanes and small courtyards lined with Renaissance buildings, many protected as historical structures. If your timing works out, Wednesday or Saturday brings the local market, which fills the streets with vendors and locals. Otherwise, just walking around and ducking into side streets reveals the medieval character. Included Activities- Explore Sarlat medieval town and old lanes

 Landmarks/POIs Sarlat 
- Day 8Sarlat to Saint-Vincent-de-CosseYou'll walk along one of the Dordogne's most interesting stretches, passing stone farm buildings and small villages between Chateau de Montfort and Vitrac port. The route continues through La Roque-Gageac, with strong views of the river cliffs and landscape. From there you'll head to Beynac, exploring its cobbled streets and the fortified chateau perched above. After a break for refreshments overlooking the river, you'll finish with a countryside walk to your hotel. - Meals
