Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
You'll arrive in Delhi where your tour leader and group meet around 6pm. If you get in earlier, there's time to check out Karol Bagh Market with its stalls full of clothing and jewelry, or visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh temple known for its gold dome. Either way, the group gathering happens in the evening to kick things off.

Delhi to Leh
An early flight takes you over the Himalaya mountains to Leh in Ladakh. After you settle into your hotel and get freshened up, you'll take a gentle walk around the city and bazaars to get oriented. The rest of your day is for relaxing and letting your body adjust to the altitude.

Leh
You'll visit two major Buddhist monasteries near Leh. First stop is Shey, once home to Ladakh's kings, where you can see a 350-year-old copper-and-gold Buddha statue inside. Then you'll walk through fields to Tikse monastery sitting on a hilltop with red-and-white buildings. Lunch gives you time to try local food like thukpa, momos, or skiu. Later in the afternoon there's a trek briefing before evening.

Leh to Hundar
Your jeep heads out early over Khardung La, one of the world's highest motorable roads. You'll pass through North Pollu checkpost and into Khalsar village to visit Diskit monastery with its massive 105ft high Buddha statue. After that, continue to Hundar where unusual sand dunes and rare Bactrian camels await. This drive takes roughly six hours total.

Hundar Trek Start
The trek starts from Hundar Gompa, about 1.8 miles from Hundar village. You'll follow an easy-to-moderate 4x4 track into a gorge with rocks towering above as you gradually gain height. Around 4.5 miles in, you'll reach a small droksa, a shepherd camp offering shade for a break. The valley widens from there as you continue on to camp near the small village of Wachan.

Trek to Dok Yokma
This half-day trek starts by climbing steadily up the left-hand valley to reach Dok Yokma, a small cluster of houses and fields. This is the last settlement before Phyang. You can visit the local monastery and stop at a house for tea if you'd like. The trail descends into the valley as you make your way toward camp opposite the Snia Valley. Your afternoon is free to explore the surrounding hills.

Snia Valley Trek
You'll cross a stone bridge and turn into Snia Valley, walking upstream. The climb is steady on the left side with unnamed peaks all around you. Only shepherds with yaks live here during summer, so they'll be your main company. Keep watch for marmots, foxes, wolves, and if you're lucky, snow leopards. Camp sits near the river at the next valley junction. An optional afternoon walk heads up valley toward a glacial lake.

Trek to Jingmoche
Your walk starts with a descent to where Snia and Thanglasgo valleys meet, then you gradually ascend on the left side. You'll cross rocky glacial moraine and green pastures on what takes about 5 to 5.5 hours to reach Jingmoche. This camping spot sits by the river and shepherds regularly bring sheep, yak, and dzos here to graze.

Trek to Lasermo La Base
You're heading toward Lasermo La pass today. From camp, you'll follow the river upstream through a valley dotted with meadows and grazing yaks and dzos. About an hour and a half in, you'll pass a shepherd camp at Thanglasso. The trail continues climbing higher as the day goes on, and you'll reach camp below Lasermo Pass in the afternoon.

Lasermo La Base Exploration
Today is for exploring around camp with several optional walks to choose from. You'll bring a packed lunch and can head up the valley opposite camp toward a series of small lakes. The first lake is about 1.5 hours away, and a second is another 45 minutes beyond that, surrounded by unnamed and unclimbed peaks. You can turn back or continue on a rocky trail to reach a third glacial lake if you want more adventure.

Landmarks/POIs Lasermo Lakes - Day 11
Cross Lasermo La Pass
This is the challenging day when you cross the highest pass at 17,715ft. You'll start early with an easy ascent up the valley for about 3 to 4 hours to reach the glacier. There you'll put on microspikes for the final hour to the summit. From the prayer flags at the top, the views stretch across the Karakoram mountains and Ladakh range. The descent is steep at first, then gradually eases as you reach high camp at Morubuk, a small area of green pasture.

Trek to Phyang
After yesterday's effort, this final trek day is easier. You'll have a nice walk down the valley, crossing the river several times as the trail shifts from side to side. The Stok range appears ahead as you get closer. Halfway through, you'll pass Phyang Sumdo and keep going downhill until Phyang village comes into view below. Camp sits on a grassy patch at the village top, and you'll arrive by lunchtime with the afternoon free.

Phyang to Leh
Cars pick you up from camp this morning. You'll visit the monastery that towers above the valley, then drive about an hour back to Leh, arriving late morning. A hot shower at your hotel feels wonderful after the trek. The rest of your day is completely free to rest, think back on the trek, do some last-minute sightseeing, or shop in the bazaars. If you have energy, you can walk to Shanti Stup or Leh Palace overlooking the town.

Leh to Delhi
You'll fly from Leh back to Delhi today. The rest of the day is yours to explore the capital on your own, whether that's checking out markets, visiting landmarks, or just taking it easy after traveling.

Depart Delhi
Your trip wraps up after you check out of your hotel. Free departure transfers are available if you've given your flight details ahead of time. You can also ask about an optional five-day extension covering the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, which you could add after the main tour or arrange before it starts.
