The weather was superb and despite the fact, that we could not always sail, we really enjoyed ourselves. We were not aware of the fact that 'boats, skipper and team' were due to change at the halfway point and this was a little disappointing. We were the only couple who had booked for two weeks which was a bit of surprise to us.Show more

Had some very strong winds which gave us some amazing sailing days. Also Erwin cooked us an amazing pasta and salad lunch one afternoon. What a great way to take in more Greek Islands, large and small. It was better than a cruise ship could possibly offer. Swimming at some of the small islands, and rest at some of the Islands Beach clubs, and a good taste of local food. One from Santorini to Mykonos with Erwin as the skipper & the 2nd one was Mykonos to Athens with Marko as the Skipper. Both were experienced skippers with a lot of knowledge & great people skills. The groups of people were also good & easy to get on with. We understood that we booked twin share accommodation & were surprised to find that we were supposed to share a bed. We are 2 friends travelling together & not a couple. I slept on the lounge for 2 weeks so we had separate beds. The pre information was good but far too long. It really was a lovely mix of relaxation, sightseeing and marine animal spotting. I really felt like I was becoming a local being so immersed in the Greek culture sailing to and around the incredible islands. On our Greek sailing trips, the G Adventures Skipper/CEO will help you make a food kitty, where around EUR 50 per person, per week will be added to the kitty for small food items on board to cover breakfasts, lunches and the odd dinner. Breakfasts and lunches are prepared by yourself, and most dinners are taken ashore at local restaurants.
