- Day 1
San Jose
You'll arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport where your guide meets you. A transfer takes you to your hotel in San Jose for your first night, giving you time to settle in and adjust to Costa Rica.

San Jose to Puerto Viejo
After breakfast, you'll travel through the rainforest of Braulio Carrillo National Park on your way to Puerto Viejo. The route passes through Caribbean villages before you reach your hotel in the afternoon. You have free time to relax, or you can sign up for optional activities like horseback riding to Punta Uva or a canopy tour if you're interested.

Landmarks Braulio Carrillo National Park Punta Uva - Day 3
Puerto Viejo
Starting with breakfast, you'll head out on a snorkelling boat tour with about 12 people to explore Cahuita National Park's coral reef for roughly two hours. After a tropical fruit snack, you'll hike 3.5 kilometers through the park with a naturalist guide who helps you spot wildlife. You get a Caribbean lunch, then the rest of the day is open for relaxation or optional activities.

Landmarks Cahuita National Park Cahuita Point - Day 4
Puerto Viejo to Turrialba
You'll have breakfast and then take a shared transfer to Turrialba, which takes about four hours. Once you arrive, the rest of the day is yours to explore the surroundings or just relax at the hotel before tomorrow's rafting adventure.

Turrialba
After fueling up with breakfast, you'll spend the day white-water rafting on the Pacuare River, one of Costa Rica's top rafting spots. You'll paddle through challenging rapids while seeing waterfalls and tropical wildlife. Halfway through, there's a lunch stop with views. You'll return to the hotel in the afternoon with time to rest.

Turrialba to San Gerardo de Dota
Following breakfast, you'll take a shared transfer to San Gerardo de Dota in Los Quetzales National Park, a cloud forest known for quetzal birds. The afternoon is yours to explore on your own or join an optional canyoneering and canopy tour if you want more adventure.

San Gerardo de Dota
You'll start early with a local guide and coffee before heading out to search for the quetzal bird in its natural habitat. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, you have the rest of the day free for self-guided forest hikes or relaxation at the hotel.

After breakfast, you'll transfer along the Pan-American Highway through San Isidro de El General toward the coast, arriving in Quepos near Manuel Antonio National Park. You'll check into your hotel and have the afternoon free to enjoy the area at your own pace.

- Day 9
Manuel Antonio
You'll have breakfast before heading to Manuel Antonio National Park for a guided nature walk on a flat two-mile trail. Your guide explains the rainforest and points out plants, animals, and the three tropical primate species. About halfway through, you'll rest for 20 minutes at Third Beach before returning to your hotel.
