Your guide picks you up at 6:00 am from your hotel and drives toward the Sacred Valley. You'll stop in Ollantaytambo for about 45 minutes to get porters and collect gear, which gives you time to look around town a bit. From there, continue to kilometer 82 where the actual trek starts at a relaxed pace to help your body adjust. You'll check out the Llactapata archaeological complex for roughly 30 minutes, then walk to Wayllabamba where you'll set up camp for the night.

The trail climbs to Llulluchapampa at 3,750 meters (12,303 feet), where you can see the Huayanay valley below and spot Warmiwalusca, the first major mountain pass, at 4,200 meters (13,779 feet) in the distance. Along the way, you'll stop at the small archaeological complex at Sayacmarca, and the route takes you through areas with nice valley views and mountains that still have snow on top. Traveling to South America was and still is the high light of my travels so far, started off in Peru which was absolutely amazing, the food, culture & people is like no other, then made our way threw Argentina where the food was delicious , for all those meat eaters Argentina has some of the best red meats cooked to perfection. We then finished off in Brazil where the night life was lots of fun and the local food and attractions was just like you'd read about in a magazine. Our travel guide was what you'd expect from a travel guide well spoken English , 10/10 for knowledge and showing you all the hot spots from Peru ,Argentina to Brazil,i really enjoys our travel guide getting involved in things with us tourists it made the experience more fun. The transportation was really good always dropping us off close by to major attractions, markets , shopping centres and eateries with not far to walk to most places. The accomedation in Peru was really traditional and I enjoyed every place we stayed at and every location was close to everything/walking distance. Argentina was more fancy hotels which was a nice treat. And Brazil the hotels was close to everything ,beach shops markets pubs bars and restaurants. I hope to return to beautiful south America again because there is so much more to see and learn about the cultures.
