- Day 1
La Paz
Your adventure kicks off with a welcome meeting at 6 pm, but you've got time before that. If you land early, wander through La Paz's side streets or head out to Moon Valley to see the striking canyon landscape and clay spires. The Witches Market is another option if you want to learn about local traditions and take a cable car ride. After the meeting wraps up, you'll join your group for dinner.

La Paz to Sucre
You've got the full day to explore La Paz on your own schedule. Check out the Museo de la Coca to learn about the region's coca plant history, or join a food tour if that appeals to you more and try fish from Lake Titicaca and local chocolate. Later in the afternoon, head to the bus station and board an overnight bus to Sucre.

Sucre
You'll arrive in Sucre this morning and drop off your luggage at the hotel. After that, the day is yours to explore at your own pace. The 400-year-old Museo de la Recoleta convent offers nice city views and art collections, or you could head to Plaza 25 de Mayo to experience local culture and see the Senora de la Merced church.

Sucre
Another free day in Sucre. Wander around the white-washed buildings and medieval churches at your own pace. The Chataquila trek is mostly downhill on a pre-Inca path with good Andes views, if you want something active. Cal Orcko has over 12,000 dinosaur footprints to see. Try local empanadas or fresh juice at the Central Market later.

Sucre to Potosi
Take a local bus to Potosi this morning. It's a colonial mining town that was once the wealthiest city in the Americas due to silver from Cerro Rico (Rich Hill). You'll explore the city's history and visit the Santa Teresa Convent Museum to see art and treasures preserved within the convent's original walls.

Potosi to Uyuni
Leave Potosi and travel to Uyuni, a remote town on the edge of the high Altiplano above the world's largest lithium reserve. Once you arrive, you'll have free time to rest and settle in before your three-day salt flats excursion starts tomorrow.

Uyuni Salt Flats Excursion Day 1
Your three-day 4WD excursion begins early with a departure from Uyuni. First stop is the Cementerio de Trenes (Train Cemetery) where abandoned locomotives sit engulfed by desert. Then you'll continue to Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flats with blinding white salt and cactus-studded islands. You'll explore Inca Wasi island covered in cacti.

Altiplano & Andean Desert
After breakfast, travel through the Andean Desert wilderness. You'll pass Chiguana Salt Lake, the active Ollague Volcano, and small lakes in various colours where flamingos hang out. Continue through the Siloli Desert past the seven-coloured mountain and Arbol de Piedra (Stone Tree) rock formation. Visit Reserva de Eduardo Avaroa and hike around Laguna Colorada (Red Lake) where you might spot llamas, vicunas and foxes. Reach your accommodation in a local community by evening.

Altiplano Geysers & Return to Uyuni
Get up early to catch the sunrise over bubbling geysers, which are most active in the morning. You have the option to visit a hot spring for a morning dip if you want. Drive through barren landscapes to the striking green Laguna Verde, Valle de Rocas (Rock Valley) and San Cristobal mining town. You'll return to Uyuni around 5 pm with time to relax or join an optional dinner.

Uyuni to Tilcara, Argentina
This is a long travel day crossing into Argentina. You'll depart at 6 am from Uyuni heading to La Quiaca, arriving around 1:30 pm. Walk across the border into Argentina and take a taxi to the bus station. Grab lunch with your group, then board another bus to Tilcara, arriving around 6 pm. Explore on your own or join your group for dinner.

Tilcara
Explore Tilcara, a mountain town in Quebrada de Humahuaca valley with indigenous culture dating back over 10,000 years. Check out the pre-Inca ruins at Pucara de Tilcara, or head to the colourful hills of Purmamarca. Grab authentic empanadas at the vibrant Mercado Municipal de Tilcara for local street food.

Start with a relaxed morning in Tilcara, then transfer to Jujuy for an evening flight to Buenos Aires. Once you land, head to your hotel and settle in. You can explore San Telmo's cobblestone streets, visit the Museo Evita, walk through La Recoleta Cemetery, check out La Boca's colourful Caminito street, or head to Palermo's Plaza Serrano. Estancia to Puerto Iguazu, Argentina
Say goodbye to your hosts and travel to the Uruguay/Argentina border (about 1.5 hours). Cross into Argentina and board a 16-hour overnight bus to Puerto Iguazu.

Puerto Iguazu to Foz do Iguacu, Brazil
Arrive at Puerto Iguazu bus station and take a minivan across into Brazil. Head straight to the national park to see Foz do Iguazu/Iguazu Falls. After spending time there, head to your hotel in Foz do Iguazu with the rest of the day free.

Argentine Side
Return to Argentina to see Iguazu Falls from a different angle. Follow boardwalks that get you close to the thundering waters. The falls span over two kilometres with 270+ cascades reaching up to 80 metres high. You can take an optional Zodiac boat ride to the base for a more thrilling experience. Return to your accommodation in the afternoon.

Foz do Iguazu to Rio de Janeiro

Head to Copacabana or Ipanema Beach, catch a soccer game at Maracana Stadium, take the tramcar to Santa Teresa neighbourhood, or head up Corcovado Mountain to see Christ the Redeemer.

Take a shared transfer from Rio to Paraty (approximately 4.5 hours). You'll have the rest of today and all of tomorrow to explore. Wander along the town's cobbled, pedestrian-only streets that become partly covered in seawater at high tide. Explore rainforest trails nearby with wildlife and waterfalls, take a boat trip on the island-studded bay, or visit Trindade village.

Ilha Grande
Wake up in paradise with two full free days exploring Ilha Grande. Wander rainforest trails to beautiful remote beaches like Lopes Mendes and Aventureiro Beach. Book an optional boat trip to the Blue Lagoon for beach-hopping through Ilha Grande Bay. Stop for fresh seafood, swim and snorkel. Or simply relax on the beach. In the evening, meet travel companions for a caipirinha at a restaurant or bar in Vila do Abraao.
