Itinerary
- Day 1
London to Exeter
You'll start in central London and head south through Wessex toward Winchester, the former capital of Anglo-Saxon England. Once there, you'll have time to walk through the historic town before continuing to Stonehenge. At the UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll check out the visitor centre's prehistoric collection and take the land train shuttle to see the famous stone circles up close. After that, it's on to Exeter where you'll stay for the next two nights.

- Day 2
Dartmoor and Tavistock
This morning you're heading out to Dartmoor, a remote moorland where you'll spot native ponies and see the striking rock formations that make the landscape so distinctive. You'll cross the ancient Clapper Bridge at Postbridge, then continue to Tavistock, a historic market town and birthplace of Sir Francis Drake. By early afternoon you're back in Exeter, leaving the rest of the day to explore at your own pace. The city walls, Norman cathedral, Royal Albert Memorial, and the Quayside all deserve a look if you have the time.

- Day 3
North Cornwall Coast
You'll head west to the North Cornish coast and arrive at Boscastle, an Elizabethan fishing village where you can grab cream tea or check out the Museum of Witchcraft if that interests you. From there, you're off to Tintagel with its headland castle, which legend says was King Arthur's birthplace. Next stop is Port Isaac, a fishing village with plenty of character, before you drive on to Falmouth for the next two nights.

- Day 4
Land's End and St Ives
You're exploring Cornwall's westerly tip today, starting with St Michael's Mount, an island community you can access and explore. Then you'll visit the Minack Theatre, which sits dramatically above the ocean, and the National Trust beach at Porthcurno (depending on availability). Afterward, it's on to Land's End and through the tin mining landscape that you might recognize from Poldark filming. This evening you'll end up in St Ives with its artist galleries and narrow streets by the harbour, then return to Falmouth for the night.

- Day 5
Bodmin Moor and Glastonbury to London
You're saying goodbye to Cornwall today and crossing Bodmin Moor, a wild moorland that's been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. After a break, you'll head to Glastonbury where you can see the ruins of the 7th century Abbey, have lunch, or climb Glastonbury Tor for views across five counties if you're up for it. From there, the journey takes you back to London, wrapping up your trip through Devon and Cornwall.
