  Food provided was sub par but this was to be expected are I experience it in my previous tour, heaps of variet, not alot of optional tours which was fine because there was more to see on this tour walking around than on my previous tour. People on the tour where friendly except for an annoying canadian couple (more so the woman) other than that would recommend this tour to friends. Also our tour guide and driver where hilarious and incredibly friendly, they made the tour/ trip well worth the money

  Guides were excellent and showed us amazing places to eat and drink throughout the tour. All locations visited were amazing, especially Capri Island. Accommodation was not the greatest, however this may be necessary to keep the price of the tour to a minimum. Overall, an excellent tour to see southern Italy with informative and fun guides, highly recommended.

  Amalfi Coast Experience

  I have just finished this tour and I have a mixed opinion on it. The fact that all the different tours offered by Italy on a budget are put together (I was with people doing only the Tuscany tour while in Florence for example) worried me at first but it ended up being good as it allowed a greater chance to find someone that will end up being a lifelong friend! Accomodation in Rome was at the Paladini hostel which had a good location but was dirty and the bathroom smelt like pee... My Rome tour guide Edwardo was incredible though so that made up for the poor accomodation. The first included meal in Rome was delicious as well. One thing I would like Italy on a budget to do is add the cost to visit the colleseum to the booking and make it non optional. Since non of us planned ahead (as the idea of a tour is that this is not necessary) non of us were able to visit the colleseum (as you must book ahead). I feel like it would have added a lot more value to the tour (even though it would make it more expensive). The Rome tour was lots of fun. We were only 4 people and we all love gelato so Edwardo brought us to some of the best gelato places in Rome. He was very informative and explained the complicated history in a way that we could understand. Amalfi coast was very different to Rome, as it was focused on seeing beaches and partying and less on the history, but this is most likely due to the demographic that signs up for the Amalfi Coast tour! The tour guide in this section, Louis was very great as well. One thing that I was disappointed with is when we went to visit Amalfi coast our bus arrived over an hour late. Our tour guides were extremely apologetic but it still meant we had over an hour less in Amalfi coast that we had paid for. Some people on the group found it strange that we went to these places that are very expensive but I think it’s their lack of research as these places are what they paid to visit, so you just need to be aware of this. The optional dinner was very good. I had paid for the optional add on package, which was 70 eur and included the dinner, a private bus in Capri island and more. Italy On a budget should just add this to the price of the tour and make it non optional as I could not imagine anyone visiting Capri island and not using the private bus and enjoying it (everyone in my group had paid). It also includes a guide of Pompei which was very good. It would be disappointing to visit without the guide. Accomodation in Sorrento is a camping village, meaning there is no AC and the bathrooms are seperate from the cabins. Some people had a problem with this, but it is clearly written in the package and at night i slept fine as the temperature dropped enough. When I arrived to Florence the welcome dinner was a tiny buffet at a cocktail bar. It was very strange and the food was not good, I felt bad for the people who had this food for their first meal in Italy! The accomodation in Florence was good. The tour at night was very interesting. Due to miss communication and organisation by the company, the tour guide in Florence told the whole group to meet at 9:40 am at the office. My PDF had something slightly different but during the whole tour the times have been slightly early/later depending on the group so I didn’t question it. It turned out I was booked on a seperate tour different from everyone else which had left earlier in the morning. I preferred the itinerary of the tour I had paid to do so I was very disappointed that day, although I appreciate that Italy on a budget still managed to put me on a day tour that day. Venice, the last stop on the tour was amazing! It was just me and the tour guide Edwardo. Since it was just the two of us he tailored the tour to what I liked and it was lots of fun. The boat tour of morano and burano islands was good as well. Accomodation in Venice, Anda hostel was good. Overall I had a good time on this tour. There is obviously room for improvement but it was a fun two weeks!
