Stop at the Rakaposhi viewpoint before reaching Karimabad (Hunza's main town) in late afternoon. At 2,300m altitude, take time to adjust.

- Day 3
Central Hunza Exploration
Explore Hunza's cultural sites. Visit UNESCO-listed Baltit Fort in the morning for the best photo lighting. Spend your afternoon at Altit Fort and its historic village. A recent visitor shared: "The friendliness of the people of Hunza is something we have never experienced anywhere in the world. Their honesty, warmth, and above all the beauty."

10 Days in Northern Pakistan, incl. Hunza Valley and Skardu
A grand 10-day Pakistani tour winds through 5 major cities, from Islamabad's urban charm to Gilgit's mountain scenery. The route encompasses 3 distinct regions: Hunza Valley's ancient forts, Skardu's desert landscape, and Karakoram Highway's dramatic vistas.

- Day 1
Islamabad Arrival & Orientation
- Days 2-3
Skardu & Shigar Valley
Book the first flight to Skardu (2 hours) since mountain weather often affects afternoon flights. Explore the Shigar Fort area to experience Balti culture and visit the stunning Sarfaranga Cold Desert. As one traveler shared: "The contrast between snow-capped peaks and desert dunes in Skardu is mind-blowing. Bring layers - desert temperatures drop dramatically after sunset."

- Days 4-5
Central Hunza Valley
The drive from Skardu to Hunza takes 5-6 hours along the spectacular Karakoram Highway. Stay in Karimabad to easily access historical sites. Get to Baltit Fort early before the tour buses arrive. Take in sunset at the Duikar viewpoint for incredible valley views but book a local driver who knows the rough road conditions.

- Days 6-7
Upper Hunza & Khunjerab Pass
Start early for the Khunjerab Pass trip. It is the world's highest border crossing but snow can block access from November to March. Stop at the beautiful Attabad Lake created by a 2010 landslide. A recent visitor noted: "The Hussaini Suspension Bridge looks scary in photos but has actually been reinforced. Still only cross if you're comfortable with heights."

- Day 8
Naltar Valley
- Days 9-10
Return to Islamabad
10 Day Northern Pakistan Itinerary, incl. Islamabad and Hunza Valley
Northern Pakistan unfolds over 10 days covering 5 major destinations from Islamabad to Hunza Valley. The itinerary includes treks to Nanga Parbat base camp, UNESCO-listed Baltit Fort, and Attabad Lake cruises. Remote villages like Ghulkin and Passu offer authentic experiences, with Serena hotels providing comfort throughout.

- Days 1-2
Islamabad to Chilas
Begin your journey in Islamabad and take a scenic drive north through Naran and Kaghan valleys. "Get an early start from Islamabad as traffic can be heavy leaving the city." Drive through Abbottabad (3 hours from Islamabad) and continue to Naran Valley. Stop at Lulusar Lake for photos before reaching Chilas for the night via Babusar Pass at 13,691 feet.

- Days 3-4
Fairy Meadows Adventure
Take a 90-minute 4x4 jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tatto village. "The jeep ride up the precarious road to Fairy Meadows was thrilling - bring motion sickness tablets if you're prone to car sickness." From Tatto village, either trek 2-3 hours or ride horses to Fairy Meadows. Stay here to see incredible views of Nanga Parbat. "Watching the sunset at Reflection Lake was humbling - bring warm layers as temperatures drop significantly after dark."

- Days 5-6
Hunza Valley Exploration
Take the Karakoram Highway to the historic Hunza Valley. Visit Baltit and Altit forts in Karimabad. "Start fort visits early before the midday heat kicks in. The steps are steep - wear proper walking shoes." Visit Eagle's Nest in Duikar for sunset valley views. The next day, see Hopper Glacier and go boating on the blue waters of Attabad Lake.

- Days 7-8
Khunjerab Pass & Naltar Valley
Drive to Khunjerab Pass, the world's highest paved border crossing at 15,397 feet. "Bring extra warm clothing - even in summer it can be near freezing at the pass." Look for ibex in Khunjerab National Park. Spend the next day in Naltar Valley's pine forests and colored lakes. "The road to Naltar is rough - take motion sickness pills if needed."

- Days 9-10
Khalti Lake and Return to Islamabad
What people love about 10-day Pakistan tours
- Hunza Valley and Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek 2026 and 2027
I would like to take this opportunity to give you guys a brief review of our trip to Hunza. This was not a holiday but a journey. The arrangements put in place by Exploria were fantastic. Every hotel we stayed at was brilliant. Asif (guide) is an asset to your organisation, his mannerism and demeanour were professional yet friendly. He made the entire trip memorable with his knowledge and skills. As a well travelled family, this is by far our favourite and most memorable trip. It was brilliantly organised and delivered. I can wholeheartedly say we are struggling to come up with our top 10 moments as there are so many lovely moments to choose from. Particularly, we absolutely loved and cherished the trip to Fairymeadows. There are so many memories we made and unbelievable moments we experienced, such as stargazing on the first night, the view of Nangaparpat in the morning, the hike to basecamp, the horse rides, and hikes. The trip to Hunza was equally fanatastic and memorable. The friendliness of the people of Hunza is something we have never experienced anywhere in the world. Their honesty, warmth, and above all the beauty. The trip to the forts, eaglesnest, passu cones, attabad lake, khabour track, hopper glacier, the list goes on.
- Explore Hunza and Skardu - Northern Pakistan tour
Together with my girlfriend we travel from Uruguay to Pakistan by mid May through Exploria.pk. Our tour started in Islamabad and included Fairy Meadows (incredible place and landscapes), Hunza and all arround, Lahore and back to Islamabad. We did more than 3000 km going from -0 temperaturas to more than 40grades. We made the majority of the tour by car with a team of guide (Farman) and driver (Bilal) that performed perfectly, giving us assistance in every thing we needed and beyond, showing us how the deepper Pakistan is, telling how people is including the possibility to meet local people and listen folk music among other things as making possible to experience local food. We are more than happy to have discovered Pakistan and break the myths occidental people have about such an amazing country. We hope to be back sooner than later! Thanks Exploria who made all arrangements as per our request with very nice and comfortable locations. Thanks Farman and Bilal, we will always remember with a smile on our faces the days with you guys.
