What people love about France and Germany Tours in February
- Burgundy, Alsace and Black Forest End Paris (16 destinations)
The itinerary for the tour was beautiful and exactly as described. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, and transportation on the bus was also very clean. We had three different tour guides, for the first half we had one and the second half we got two as the groups split into different sections depending of the final destination, all our guides were amazing and super knowledgeable on each city and state, as well as the history of the places. The tour was smooth sailing overall and very well organized, except for departure where we had some issues understanding if we would be picked up from the hotel we extended from (or from the meeting point provided in the Europamundo communication), however our guide took the time to come early and find us at our hotel room the day of. He was very polite and understanding throughout, as well as provided us with great recommendations on places to eat and visit during our free time which was super helpful. If you extend with Europamundo, they will pick you up from the hotel they picked for you, and you can ask the lobby for directions on where they posted the itinerary to see the schedule. We were a really small group of 5 people the first couple of days, and the second half we united with another tour which made quite a few of us (I think around 30). Overall, I would recommend anybody Europamundo, they are the best bang for your buck and I myself look forward to my next tour with the company.
- Catalonia, south of France, Burgundy, Alsace and Black Forest (25 destinations)
The tour was very good but each day went so fast that it was hard to appreciate and even remember all that you saw and did. Some stops could have been removed. Marseilles, Baden baden could have been eliminated. Frankfurt , and Speyer also could have been eliminated. The limestone quarry was ok but it also could have been eliminated. That would help to give you more time to focus on the best parts of the tour. We did not see or do much at the spots I suggested to remove. Overall it was a very good tour and the guides were excellent.
- Enchanted France and Black Forest (36 destinations)
Overall the trip was wonderful, and the itinerary and the places we visited were excellent. The included castles, boat, waterfalls and other activities were also great. English speaking guides were appreciated. The logistics was arranged perfectly. Some things for Europamundo to consider: 1. Spanish speaking guides took a lot more time to explain and left no time for the English speaking guides to talk. 2. We are disappointed the EuropaMundo allows babies on the bus, and that babies are allowed to sit at the front instead of at the last seat in the back of the bus. 3. We had so many tour guides changes (and buses), that we did not even have a chance to appreciate them with a tip. Some drivers (like Lyon – Tournus) were very rude to us 4. Only one bus had wifi. 5. Guides should be instructed to have a comfort stop after each 1 ½ hours of travel. It is unreasonable to expect us to travel 3 plus hours without a comfort stop. 6. The hotels this time were not as good as they are in Spain, but they were all clean and breakfast were always excellent, ample and delicious. 7. To the smoking guides, they should not smoke while they are talking to us and walking with us. We did not appreciate breathing the cigarettes. 8. Comments concerning special locations: Savigny Castle should have extra time, and less time in Beaune. You can also remove completely Freiburg and allow more time in Strasbourg or in Triberg. We never got to see Baden Baden or Marseille, we only slept there.
