- 6 Days Guided Tour Tangier – Chefchaouen – Sahara Desert (Luxury Camp) – Marrakech
We loved our trip to Morocco. The country is beautiful, from the sea to the Sahara and throught the mountainous terrain. Our tour guide Abdoule was exceptional. Everything was so well arranged including all the tours and accomadation. I would highly recommend Morocco Kingdom for the tour company but to especially request Abdoule as the guide, he really made the trip enjoyable.
What our customers ask about Morocco Guided Tours & Trips
What's the best time of year for a guided tour in Morocco?
The prime seasons for Morocco tours are spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) when temperatures are mild across the country. The coastal regions and Marrakech welcome visitors throughout the year but the Sahara Desert is best explored from October to February to avoid scorching temperatures. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "We went in April and had perfect weather - warm enough for the beach in Essaouira but not too hot for exploring the medinas and comfortable nights in the desert."
How does a typical guided tour itinerary in Morocco look like?
Standard Morocco tours run 7-12 days covering key destinations. Tours often begin in Casablanca or Fes where local experts guide you through winding medinas and historic monuments. The route heads south across the Atlas Mountains for desert experiences including camel rides and nights at camps such as Merzouga Desert Camp. Routes often include stops at Dades Valley and Ait Benhaddou before concluding in Marrakech. As confirmed by a TourRadar traveler: "The organization was exceptional places we stopped at along the way were perfect and really worthwhile the accommodations we stayed at were really good and the camel trekking was the highlight of our desert expedition."
What level of accommodation can I expect on a fully guided Morocco tour?
Accommodations on guided tours blend modern comfort with traditional charm. City stays feature 4-star hotels and authentic riads such as Hotel Ramada By Wyndham or Riad El Palacio & Spa in Fes. Desert nights are spent in well-appointed tents at locations like Merzouga Luxury Camp. Marrakech offerings include boutique properties such as Hotel Dellarosa or Les Jardins Mandaline. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "The riads we had throughout our entire stay in Morocco were beautiful and ideally situated for all that we had planned to do. The accommodations were impressive providing a taste of luxury while staying true to Moroccan authenticity."
What's typically included in the meal plan for fully guided Morocco tours?
Tour packages generally cover daily breakfasts and select dinners. Half-board arrangements (breakfast and dinner) are common at desert locations like Merzouga Luxury Camp and in Dades Valley where traditional Moroccan dishes take center stage. Special experiences often include meals with local families or cooking demonstrations. As noted by TourRadar travelers: "Traditional dinner with Berber rhythms in the desert was unforgettable" and "Our lunch with a local family with a great panoramic view was our highlight of the day." Guides can direct you to authentic local spots for meals not included in the tour.
How do guides handle language barriers during the tour?
Tour guides in Morocco are skilled linguists speaking Arabic French English and often additional languages. They serve as cultural bridges managing all interactions with local vendors hotel staff and service providers. According to a TourRadar review: "Our guide spoke perfect English and was invaluable in helping us communicate with locals negotiate in the souks and understand cultural nuances we would have missed otherwise."
What is the typical group size for fully guided tours in Morocco?
Groups remain small and manageable usually ranging from 6 to 15 participants. Companies like Morocco Top Travel maintain these intimate numbers allowing for personalized attention at accommodations such as the Riad Dar Soukaina in Marrakech.
