Reviews of Japan Family Tours
- Japan Family Holiday (22 destinations)
Yuji did an amazing job of ensuring a smooth trip, while being very flexible to the desires of the group. He planned beautifully and gave us the skills and confidence to navigate on our own for our free time. He kept the group from frittering away time and shared insights into history and culture for the many highlights. Had we tried to do this trip on our own, we would optimistically have been able to see half as much and would have entirely missed some very memorable experiences, like Hakone. We did the family tour and would highly recommend for families with kids 9-16.
- 8 Days Best Of Japan Family Small Group (Max 15)(4 Star Hotels)
Our first time booking through TourRadar and they matched us with UME Travel—and wow, we LOVED it! The itinerary was super chill, nothing felt rushed, and the hotels were spotless plus right in lively areas, so it was easy to explore after tours. The best part? Our group was just 10 people—small, friendly, and stress-free. No hidden costs, no surprises, just pure fun all the way. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for a better trip!
- 10 Days Japan Delight with Hiroshima(Private Guide No Group)Family Tour Customizable
I recently embarked on the 10 Days Japan Delight with Hiroshima tour and found it to be an exceptional journey through Japan’s rich history and breathtaking landscapes. The itinerary is thoughtfully designed—from the vibrant streets of Osaka and the moving experience at Hiroshima Peace Memorial, to the serene beauty of Miyajima and the cultural charm of Kyoto and Nara. The private guide and driver were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, providing detailed insights that deepened my understanding of each destination. Highlights such as riding the Shinkansen, strolling through historic Kyoto, and enjoying a scenic cruise on Lake Ashi with Mount Fuji in the background made the trip truly unforgettable. I also appreciated the balanced mix of guided activities and free days, which allowed ample time for personal exploration and relaxation.
What our customers ask about Japan Family Tours
What are the best day trips from Tokyo for families?
Within easy reach of Tokyo several destinations offer excellent family experiences. A trip to Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi lets families take in Japan's most famous peak while riding the Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. Hakone draws visitors with its distinctive "Pirate Ship" cruise across Lake Ashi and the active volcanic valley of Owakudani where kids can try the local black eggs. The coastal town of Kamakura combines beach time with cultural sites. One TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The Mt. Fuji experience was breathtaking - my kids loved the Pirate Ship ride on Lake Ashi and seeing the volcanic activity at Owakudani."
What are the best family-friendly activities and attractions included in Japan tours?
Japan offers a rich mix of activities that appeal to all ages. The Ghibli Museum in Tokyo brings beloved anime characters to life while Nara Park lets kids feed friendly deer. Young visitors often enjoy making their own cup noodles at Yokohama's Cup Noodles Museum and taking in Mount Fuji views from the Hakone Ropeway. For a traditional experience families can try the hot springs at places like the Dormy Inn Akihabara. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The tour was a great experience for us seeing it was the first time we booked one.
