What people love about Northern Lights Tours in Iceland
- 5 Day - Snæfellsnes & South Coast
Overall the tour was very good. We were on the 5 day tour. We weren't told it was actually two different tours, a 2-day tour and a 3-day tour. The tour guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. They went out of their way for us to have a good experience. The accommodation was mostly fine. However, one night the tour was split into two groups that stayed at different hotels. The two hotels were of very different quality. We were put in what was basically student dorms, filled with school children. The washroom was moldy. The room was so small, we couldn't both open our suitcases and there was nowhere to put the suitcases. This was very upsetting. As a group of 6 people that booked far in advance, it was extremely disappointing and surprising that we were given a sub-standard hotel (Hotel Cabin in Reykjavik). At the beginning of the tour, we were told to be ready at a certain time and weren't picked up until 2 hours later without any communication. One of the people in our party had to wait outdoors in the cold and rain waiting for these 2 hours. This is unacceptable.
- 6 day Guided tour | Hidden Powers & Northern Lights Hunt - Small Group
The Hidden Power tour was a fantastic experience. I love Iceland way more than I thought I would, no hesitation for a second visit. Erling is knowledgeable and gave us lots of background you wouldn't know of just by research. He take care of the tour group, go for the extra miles in finding interesting activities that suited the group. The only point to highlight is this is actually a four days tour because the first and last day was purely arrival and departure in airport. The price drops significantly when come closer to start date, so try your luck.
- 6 day Guided tour | Hidden Powers & Northern Lights Hunt
It was a fantastic tour and Erling was a great tour guide who made my trip that much better!
