What people love about Malaga Tours
- Cordoba, Seville & Costa del Sol
The experience was amazing! The tours were informative, interesting and fun. The tour guides were excellent! The hotels were beautiful but the dinner at the Catalonia hotel was awful. The breakfast was pretty good. The room was good but we couldn't get our internet to work properly in our room to watch television. Overall we had a wonderful experience even with the hiccups.
- Heart of Andalusia 6 Days, Self-drive
The locations on our trip were amazing! Wish we would have had more time at each stop. The car and hotels were great! We had a small issue with the car rental return because we needed to return the car prior to the time the business opened. They did make accommodations for us but it did cost us an additional fee. Overall, great communication from customer service! Thank you!
- Morocco the Imperial Cities
What a find! A last minute change in our plans and we found TourRadar. We spent a marvellous week in Morocco, the Imperial Cities. Our guide, Mohammad, was super. He put us together with local guides and we saw so many amazing sites! We were very grateful to have such knowledgeable and helpful people. Our driver, Who was also named Mohammad, was so great. He helped us everyday! It was a superb week, full of amazing experiences. I recommend completely!
What our customers ask about Malaga Tours & Trips
What are the best day trips from Malaga?
Malaga's central location makes it a convenient starting point for exploring Andalusia. Day trips take visitors to Ronda where a dramatic cliffside setting frames the Puente Nuevo bridge. The white village of Mijas offers traditional architecture and mountain views while Nerja presents coastal charm from its Balcón de Europa viewpoint. "The bus tour was comfortable and well-organized allowing us to see multiple cities while based in Malaga" notes one TourRadar traveler. Hotels like the Silken Al-Andalus Palace provide easy access to transportation hubs.
What is the best time of year to visit Malaga?
Spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) offer the most pleasant conditions with temperatures between 20-25°C (68-77°F) and lighter tourist crowds. Summer brings beach weather but temperatures can reach 35°C (95°F) making La Malagueta Beach a popular refuge. Winter stays mild at 15-20°C (59-68°F). A TourRadar traveler shares: "We visited in October and the weather was perfect for sightseeing and enjoying outdoor cafes in the historic center while still being warm enough for the beach."
What makes Malaga a must-visit destination for cultural travelers?
The city combines art and history at every turn. The Picasso Museum honors the local artist while the Alcazaba fortress provides Mediterranean views. The unfinished Malaga Cathedral known as "La Manquita" stands as a architectural landmark. The historic district houses both the Carmen Thyssen Museum with its Spanish art collection and a Roman Theatre from the 1st century BC. One TourRadar traveler notes "The historic center of Malaga perfectly combines ancient architecture with modern cultural venues making every walk a journey through time."
What are the must-try local dishes in Malaga?
The local food scene blends Mediterranean and Andalusian traditions. Espeto de sardinas (grilled sardines) draws crowds to El Palo neighborhood while Atarazanas Market offers fresh seafood daily. Local specialties include boquerones en vinagre (marinated anchovies) and sweet Malaga wines. Traditional churros with chocolate remain a favorite in the historic center. A TourRadar traveler shares: "The seafood at Malagueta Beach restaurants was incredibly fresh and the local wine pairings recommended by our guide were perfect."
What's the best way to get from Malaga Airport to the city center?
The Cercanías train provides direct service from the airport taking 12 minutes for about 2 USD. Airport buses run every 30 minutes while taxis cost around 25 USD. Hotels like the Silken Al-Andalus Palace often arrange transfers. According to a TourRadar traveler: "The train from the airport was quick affordable and dropped us right in the city center near our hotel."
How many days should I spend in Malaga?
Plan for 3-4 days to experience Malaga's main attractions. This timeline allows visits to the Alcazaba fortress Picasso Museum and Cathedral plus time for beaches and local food. Popular tours like "Caceres Seville & Costa del Sol" typically include 2-3 nights at hotels such as the Silken Al-Andalus Palace. A TourRadar traveler confirms: "Three full days gave us enough time to see the main sites while also enjoying relaxed evenings in the historic center."
