- Day 1
Chora & Little Venice
Get an early start to make the most of your first day. From Mykonos Airport, the shared transfer usually takes 15 minutes to most hotels. Keep in mind that during July-August traffic can slow things down. Your first stop should be Chora, the main town. Its whitewashed buildings with blue doors offer plenty of great photo spots. Want to catch a spectacular sunset? Go to Little Venice around 6:45 PM to grab a spot at a waterfront café before the 7:30 PM sunset. This area fills up quickly during golden hour.

Beaches & Windmills
Visit the famous windmills (Kato Mili) first thing in the morning before tourists arrive. The morning light makes them look their best. Take a water taxi to Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach afterward. The boats run every 30 minutes and cost €15. If you prefer a quieter beach experience, visit Paradise Beach in the morning before it gets busy and noisy. Later, spend time exploring Matogianni, the main shopping district. Summer shops stay open until midnight, perfect for after-dinner browsing when it's cooler.

Start your last day at the Archaeological Museum of Mykonos in Chora. It opens at 8:30 AM and is usually quiet then. Need some last-minute shopping? Check out the Old Port area where prices are better than Matogianni. Taking a ferry? Get to the port 45 minutes early since it gets busy and finding your dock can be tricky. If you're flying out, remember the small airport gets very crowded between 11 AM and 2 PM in peak season.

Pro tip: use the south slope entrance to avoid longer lines at the main gate. After exploring the Acropolis, visit the modern Acropolis Museum. The Parthenon Gallery on the top floor will give you great context for everything you've just seen. For lunch, walk to the nearby Koukaki neighborhood where you'll find restaurants filled with locals. Food lovers should look into the Classic Food Tour (runs April-October, except Sundays).
