What people love about Fully Guided Tours in Amazon Rainforest
- 7 Days Rainbow Waters & City Lights - Colombia’s Wonders
Excellent experience, excellent service, our guide Evi was the best of the best. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and kind and their processes as a team work exceedingly well. An excellent experience.
- 4 Days Amazon Lodge Cuyabeno Reserve
Nicky Lodge in the Cuyabeno Reserve is an amazing place. The buildings are all in the style of the local Siona tribe, whose community we were able to visit as part of a day 3 activity. To get to the lodge, a 2 1/2 hour motorized canoe trip brought us from the river landing to the lodge. Along the way we saw a hundred monkeys crossing the river by jumping from a high tree into the brush on the other side, 5 pink dolphins, bees nests, wasp nests, ant nests, many beautiful birds and lush plant life. Life at the lodge was very active with 3 or 4 scheduled activities each day, 3 full meals per day, plus snacks and refreshments before and/or after each activity. The food was delicious, including many Ecuadorian specialties. The guides were all bilingual and extremely knowledgeable. They and the lodge staff went out of their way to accomodate us in every way possible. There was a nice mix of clients at the lodge, including young people, families, seniors, domestic and international travelers. There is electricity for several hours in the evening, after which you have to rely on head torches, but the jungle was so peaceful at night I slept like a baby. This is the rainforest, so there is RAIN, usually at night when I was there. That meant MUD on many of the walks, but the lodge provides good quality high boots, and the mud added to the sense of adventure. I had a wonderful time on this trip and would highly recommend it for anyone seeking an introduction to the Amazonian rainforest. Daniel, from Ecuador Galapagos Travels, was very helpful in preparing me for this adventure and answering my numerous questions along the way. He also made my transportation reservations to get from Quito to the Cuyabeno and back. The trip going to the Cuyabeno involves an overnight bus journey that is long and tiring, but the wonders of the Reserve and the lodge certainly make it worth the effort.
- 3 days - Tambopata Amazon Jungle
Great tour company, stayed in a lodge by myselff with solo accomodation and was very cared for in a relaxing atmosphere that was a nice break from the constant drive from earlier in the trip.
