- Kenya Safari
I was really impressed by this tour as I was unsure what to expect of a traditionally "party focused" company doing an African safari. I have to say I was blown away. This is a very different type of Contiki with local guides and drivers who are professional and friendly as well as being open and knowledgeable about local culture and customs - plus the animal and landscape knowledge. We saw four of the big five on our first game drive and while the animals seen is beyond anyone's control, it was an incredible experience. We were blessed with sun and rain and the team made sure we didn't miss out on anything, even when it rained. There are plenty of game drives to give you the best chance of seeing as much as possible. The vehicles are comfortable and everyone gets a window seat. The accommodation exceeded my expectations and the staff at each lodge or camp were exceptionally helpful and friendly. This is the perfect trip for anyone wanting to see the animals of Africa (especially elephants and giraffes) and the scenery of East Africa, including the elusive Mt. Kilimanjaro.

After seeing the Best Ever Food Tour visit at the Maasai Mara village in Amboseli, I was inspired to go! I contacted Emmanuel and he was instantly a wealth of knowledge. We communicated often about my trip so much that by the time we met, I felt as if I were amongst friends. Along with Emmanuel was Carlos Roy, our driver. Carlos and Emmanuel were incredibly knowledgeable about the Maasai people, the area and could answer all of my questions. Carlos is by far the best driver. He is considerate and has a great sense of humor. You definitely won't be bored as he introduces you to the "African massage"! On the tour, Emmanuel was able to translate my questions, arrange a time for me to personally interview the elder and much more! This tour was hands down one of my favorite experiences during my entire trip. I've been to another Maasai village and this by far was the most authentic. I felt as if I was truly able to experience the culture as well as gain an appreciation for their desire to keep up with today's technology while preserving their traditions and norms. I'm so glad I did this tour with Emmanuel and Carolos. I am a travel advisor and my goal is to send my clients seeking an authentic experience to tour with Emmanuel and Carlos in the future. My one piece of advice would be not to wait, book today because this is a really popular tour!!!
- 3-Day Kenya Lodge Safari - Amboseli Park
We actually had a customized tour. Due to our traveling plans we wanted to go from Nairobi to Arusha via Amboseli National Park. We didn't find any tour operator who would offer this tour. Our guide from Tanzania recommended Exciting Africa Tours to us. We were very happy about that. We could decide everything individually for our tour and we even had it as a private tour. So we started by being picked up from our hotel in Nairobi. Our driver Edward was very nice and told us a lot of interesting stories. After driving through a very bumpy road we arrived at around lunch time at AA lodge a few kilometers before the gate. The lodge is very beautiful. It has nice cottages, a great buffet, bar and fire place with entertainment in the evening and also a pool area. After the lunch break we had an afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park. We saw cheetahs, ostrich, zebras, elephants and many more animals. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and even had a short stop at a picnic site on a hill with a great view of the national park. However, kilimanjaro was covered by clouds. Afterwards we returned to the lodge for dinner and overnight. The next day we got up early for our morning game drive and we were lucky to spot kilimanjaro during sunrise before the clouds came again. After the game drive we drove to Namanga border to Tanzania. Edward kindly waited with us until the next driver was here so we could finish the formalities to cross the border. Afterwards we were driven by another shuttle to our hotel in Arusha. To sum it up, everything was perfectly fine. The park is nice with kilimanjaro in the background, but you need to be lucky to see it. Also I think the 2 game drives were enough to visit Amboseli National Park. We recommend to keep time there short and visit also other national parks since there is such a great variety in this area. But it was definitely worth it.
