Itinerary
- Day 1
Ubud
You'll arrive in Ubud and have the afternoon to walk around town checking out the temples, shops, and cafes. Your bike gets fitted and ready for tomorrow's riding. Around 6pm you'll meet your tour leader and the group, then head to a group dinner where you'll get a traditional Indonesian welcome.

- Day 2
Ubud - Tampaksiring
After a short transfer, you'll cycle through rice fields and villages north of Ubud. The route takes you to Tirta Empul temple where you can see locals bathing in the sacred waters. From there, backroads lead to the lesser-known Pengukur-Ukur temple where you'll grab a refreshment before cycling back to Ubud.

Tampaksiring - Kintamani
Following a short transfer, you'll cycle along rice terraces with a steep climb up to Kintamani plantations and on toward Batur volcano's crater rim. That's about 12.5 miles of riding, and you'll regroup to hear about the tough section ahead. If the climb feels too hard, the support vehicle can take you straight to lunch. Weather allowing, you'll get views of one of Bali's larger volcanic lakes. After lunch comes a short but sharp descent to your hotel at the volcano's base. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax or try off-road cycling on narrow sandy trails across lava fields.

Landmarks Mount Batur - Day 4
Kintamani - Bedugul
You'll transfer to the western rim of Batur caldera and cycle up and down hills along small roads through villages and plantations toward Bali's northwest coast. Riding through Bondalem, Tianyar, and Kubu villages, you'll see everyday local life. A refreshment stop on the beach breaks up the ride before you continue on flat roads to Ponjok Batu, an ocean-facing temple built from black stone. After passing through Singaraja town, you'll reach Lovina and transfer to your hotel in Bedugul.

Landmarks Ponjok Batu - Day 5
Bedugul - Pemuteran
The day starts with a steep climb of about 1.8 miles to Monkey Forest, though you can take a transfer to the top if that works better for you. From there you'll enjoy views of a twin lake before cycling downhill for the rest of the day with nice views across the north coast. You'll stop at Bhrama Arama Vihara, the only Buddhist monastery in Bali, then relax in the open-air pools at Banjar Hot Springs nearby. After lunch, you'll cycle along the coast to your beachfront hotel in Pemuteran, where the rest of the day is free.

Pemuteran - Bondowoso
You have the option of either a flat cycle or short transfer to Labuan Luang harbour. From there, you'll board a local boat heading to Menjangan Island within Bali Barat National Park. The island has coral gardens and tropical fish that you can see while snorkeling (diving is available for an extra cost). After lunch, you'll freshen up before transferring to Gilimanuk Harbour to catch the ferry to Ketapang Harbour in Java. Then it's about a three-hour drive to Bondowoso.

Landmarks Menjangan Island Bali Barat National Park - Day 7
Bondowoso - Jampit Catimor
This is the tour's most challenging day as you cycle up Ijen volcano, gaining around 4,920 feet in elevation. The route starts flat until you reach the volcano's base, then climbs through coffee plantations on some steep sections of partially broken paved roads. You'll take things slowly to enjoy the scenery, with a light lunch along the way. After about 12.5 miles you'll regroup before the steepest part begins. If it gets too hard, you can ride with the support vehicle instead. You'll stop to visit one of Indonesia's largest coffee plantations before finishing your ride in Jampit Catimor, a remote village where you'll stay in a local homestay on a coffee plantation.

Landmarks Mount Ijen - Day 8
Jampit Catimor - Ketapang
You'll rise very early and transfer to the trek start point. The hike to the top of Ijen crater follows a wide, packed dirt path for about 1.9 miles. At the summit you'll find a 655-foot deep crater lake filled with steaming acidic water and surrounded by sulfur mines. The trek is demanding with poor trail conditions and toxic fumes. After you return to the start, you'll get back on your bike and ride down to Ketapang in time for lunch. The afternoon is yours to rest after such an early start.

Landmarks Ijen Crater - Day 9
Ketapang - Rajegwesi Beach
After transferring to today's start point, you'll cycle through rural villages on a mix of off-road and paved roads. Your 6-mile trail transitions to paved and broken surfaces with views of coffee, cacao, and rubber plantations. You'll continue to Rajegwesi Beach, the gateway to Meru Betiri National Park and a fishing village where you might see fresh catch being unloaded. Tonight you'll camp on the beach with basic facilities including two-person tents, mats, sleeping bags, and basic toilets and cold showers.

Rajegwesi Beach - Ketapang
On your final cycling day, you'll continue along off-road trails following the coast toward Pulau Merah. Green Bay is on the way with views of a hidden beach in East Java. Today's ride is mostly flat with a few rolling hills. You should reach Pulau Merah around lunchtime, with the early afternoon free to explore the village, swim, or relax. Then you'll transfer (about two hours) to your hotel in Ketapang for your last night on Java.

Ketapang - Canggu
After a relaxed morning, you'll drive 15 minutes back to Ketapang Harbour for your ferry to Gilimanuk on Bali, which takes 30 to 45 minutes. From there, it's about a four-hour drive with a lunch stop to reach Canggu, where you'll stay at a beach hotel for the next two nights.

Canggu
Canggu is a popular stretch of beach along Bali's south coast and the perfect place to unwind after 10 days of cycling up volcanoes and through jungles and plantations. The day is completely free. You can explore the area around Canggu and Seminyak, try optional activities, or head out on the water.

Canggu - Departure
The trip ends after breakfast and you'll begin your return journeys home. If you want to keep the adventure going, you can ask about the post-trip Gili extension, which offers white sands and turquoise seas to relax on after your cycling tour.
