- LLyn· November 11th, 2016My trip with Ace the Himalayas was great from start to finish. Prem was easy to communicate with and answered all my questions in a timely manner. As a single traveller I was matched with another single traveller to share a room and the group as a whole was fantastic. We had well organised tours and our walk in the Annapurna region was well organised with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The whole trip was very sociable.Show moreTrip date: November 2014

- PSPat· October 28th, 2016This was a part of the world that I had always been interested in , but work & family commitments had prevented me from visiting . I had to wait until I was retired and then was concerned that I would be too old . I keep myself as fit as I can so best foot forward . The organisation by Ace was excellent & always available to offer help & advice ; the guides we had were brilliant ; the tea houses offered a friendly & welcoming stay ; the vegetarian meals that I had was some of the best food I have had in my travels ; and the scenery was stupendous . I can thoroughly recommend the whole experience & Ace will certainly take good care of you to make sure you have the best experience of your life .Show moreTrip date: November 2014

Dale
Asked on May 23rd, 2017Do I need to tip my guide and porters? How much would that be?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 20 to USD 1000 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend minimum 10% of your total trip cost for tipping entire local staffs, the ratio of tipping guide and porter will be given to you at the pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu before starting the trek.

Dale
Asked on May 23rd, 2017How much additional money do I need per day?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017It depends on your spending habits. Generally, in Kathmandu and Pokhara, you can allocate USD 10 to USD 15 for a lunch and a dinner. USD 8 to USD 10 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, pay for the hot shower and a few drinks during the trekking.

Dale
Asked on May 23rd, 2017Can I use credit cards in the places I visit in trekking?
- D
Dale

Dale

You may wish to pass the number of our guide to your family for the callback or you can make a call from the guide’s mobile and pay him directly for the international call too.
