Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town
You'll start with a tour briefing before heading out from Cape Town at 08:00am. The morning takes you to Hout Bay harbour where you'll get a sense of the local fishing community, then it's on to Cape Point Nature Reserve to walk around the dramatic coastline. After that, you'll stop at Boulders Beach to see the African Penguin colony up close, which is really one of the highlights. Later in the afternoon, head to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for lunch or dinner at a local restaurant, sampling some of Cape Town's food scene.

- Day 2
Cederberg
You're heading north into the Cederberg region, where massive sandstone boulders dominate the landscape. Wind and rain have carved these rocks into all sorts of unusual shapes over thousands of years. After arriving at your accommodation, you'll get out on foot to explore the rugged terrain and see why this area feels so wild and untouched. There's plenty of walking to do before settling in for the night.

- Day 3
Cederberg to Namibia (Gariep River)
The route takes you into drier terrain as you cross into Namibia, heading to a lodge on the Gariep River. This section of the valley doesn't see much tourism, so you'll find it quite peaceful with its sandy riverbed and clear water. The afternoon is yours to spend however you'd like, whether that's swimming and relaxing by the water or taking a canoe trip down the river if you're feeling more active.

Landmarks Gariep River - Day 4
Fish River Canyon
You'll make your way to Fish River Canyon in the afternoon. The scale of this place hits you immediately, with depths reaching up to 550 meters. It's the second largest canyon in the world, and standing on the edge really puts things in perspective. The views are worth taking your time to absorb.

- Days 5 - 6
Sossusvlei and Namib Desert
Heading into the Namib Desert to reach Sossusvlei, where orange dunes stretch as far as you can see. You'll walk into the dune landscape and also check out Sesriem Canyon nearby. Later, from your lodge outside the national park, you'll watch the sun set over these towering sand dunes, which create some striking colors across the landscape.

Swakopmund
You arrive at Swakopmund, a seaside resort with old German colonial buildings that give it a somewhat nostalgic feel. The stony plains around town host some unusual plants like Welwitschia Mirabilis and Kokerboom trees that you won't see elsewhere. Swakopmund is known as Namibia's adventure activity hub, so you can spend the day walking around town or choose from various optional activities if you want something more active.

- Day 9
Damaraland
Traveling through Damaraland shows you the stark contrasts Namibia offers. Dry riverbeds, old valleys, and rocky outcrops fill the landscape, and the Brandberg Massif Mountains rise dramatically overhead. You'll stop at Cape Cross seal colony where thousands of Cape fur seals gather ashore to rest and have their young, which is something you really need to see in person to appreciate.

- Days 10 - 11
Etosha National Park
Etosha National Park was once a massive lake thousands of years ago before it dried up, leaving behind a huge pan. You'll go on game drives around the pan looking for elephants, antelope herds, and lions that gather at the waterholes. Your lodge sits on the edge of the national park, giving you easy access for early morning and late afternoon drives.

- Day 12
Windhoek
You'll spend the day in Windhoek, Namibia's capital, which sits nicely in a valley. The city blends modern buildings with German colonial architecture, creating an interesting mix. It's a cosmopolitan place with a good atmosphere and friendly locals. Later you'll have dinner at a restaurant in town to enjoy the local food scene.
