    Cederberg

You're heading north into the Cederberg region, where massive sandstone boulders dominate the landscape. Wind and rain have carved these rocks into all sorts of unusual shapes over thousands of years. After arriving at your accommodation, you'll get out on foot to explore the rugged terrain and see why this area feels so wild and untouched. There's plenty of walking to do before settling in for the night.

    Cederberg to Namibia (Gariep River)

The route takes you into drier terrain as you cross into Namibia, heading to a lodge on the Gariep River. This section of the valley doesn't see much tourism, so you'll find it quite peaceful with its sandy riverbed and clear water. The afternoon is yours to spend however you'd like, whether that's swimming and relaxing by the water or taking a canoe trip down the river if you're feeling more active.

The stony plains around town host some unusual plants like Welwitschia Mirabilis and Kokerboom trees that you won't see elsewhere. The guides were fantastic and I loved the itinerary. It was an amazing trip. My only complaint is that Tour Radar took way too long to respond to my questions before the trip.

Great tour of South Africa covering so much of the country. You'll get a variety of experiences including safaris, hikes, national parks, beaches, wineries and cities. You'll meet and see so many smiling faces of South Africa and enjoy their culture. Accommodation ranged from really basic in the Drakensberg mountains to really interesting huts in Kruger and Estiwini to amazing beautiful resorts outside of Kruger. There were some really long travel days in the truck but given the size of the country and the places covered it was totally expected. Sunway Safaris is a local company and you can see that they do their best to help local communities.
