Phnom Penh
You'll arrive in Phnom Penh around 6pm where your tour leader meets you and the group. An optional dinner at a nearby restaurant kicks off the tour that evening, so it's a chance to meet fellow travelers and get oriented before things start in earnest.

Phnom Penh to Kampot
From Phnom Penh, you'll head into rural Cambodia and stop at Phnom Chisor, an 11th-century temple perched on a hill with great views across the landscape. After that, you'll reach Kampot, a riverside town where you'll check in and then take a sunset boat trip on the tidal river.

Kampot
Today covers the Kampot province countryside, walking through salt fields, rice paddies, pepper and fruit plantations, and the Phnom Chhnork caves. Later you'll head to Kep, a former seaside resort with reminders of the Khmer Rouge era, where lunch happens at local crab shacks serving fresh crab in the region's famous pepper sauce.

Kampot to Koh Rong Island
You'll drive from Kampot to Sihanoukville, which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. From there, a speed boat takes you to Koh Rong island (45 minutes to an hour). Once you reach the beachfront resort, the rest of the day is yours to relax, swim, and watch the sunset.

Koh Rong Island
This is a full beach day on one of Cambodia's white-sand beaches. You can relax on the sand, swim in clear water, use resort facilities, or try optional watersports like kayaking. Your tour leader can fill you in on what else is available to do.

- Day 6
Koh Rong Island to Phnom Penh
A speed boat takes you back to the mainland (45 minutes to an hour), then you'll drive to Phnom Penh, which is about 5 to 6 hours with a lunch break. In the evening, you'll explore the capital by cyclo (bicycle rickshaw), checking out street food and local specialties along the waterfront before dinner at a Khmer restaurant.

Phnom Penh
This morning focuses on Phnom Penh's history. You'll visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school used as a torture center during the Khmer Rouge period, then the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek. After that, the Royal Palace and its Silver Pagoda follow. If time allows, you can shop at Central Market or the Russian Market.

Phnom Penh to Battambang
You'll travel to Battambang, Cambodia's second-largest city, known for its riverside location and French colonial buildings. En route, stops include a pottery village, silversmith village, and marble handicraft workshop to see how local artisans work. That evening, an orientation walk along the Sangke River shows daily life in the town.

Battambang
Cycling through the Battambang countryside on flat, easy terrain brings you past villages where you'll see traditional scarf weaving, cottage industries, and farming. The pace is relaxed with frequent stops, fresh fruit, and coconut refreshments along the way. If cycling isn't for you, a tuk-tuk can be arranged instead.

Battambang to Siem Reap
Heading to Siem Reap includes a stop at the Pouk market to see Cambodian food culture and daily life up close. The Angkor Silk Farm shows you how silkworms are raised and silk is made. In the afternoon, you'll walk through the Royal Gardens and along the Siem Reap River to the Old Market. Artisans Angkor, a not-for-profit organization, is an optional stop to learn about traditional Cambodian arts.

Siem Reap
Your first full day at Angkor temples takes you by private bus to outlying sites. You'll see the detailed carvings at Banteay Srei, dedicated to Brahma, then Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm, which is still covered in jungle growth. That evening is free to eat at Bar Street restaurants, catch Phare Cambodian Circus, or watch traditional Apsara dancing.

Siem Reap
Mountain biking around the Angkorian ruins brings you to Angkor Wat and the Royal City of Angkor Thom. The Bayon temple, with its 54 intricately carved towers, is the main highlight. The ride covers about 15.5 miles (25km) with refreshment stops and photo chances. You can arrange an early sunrise visit or stay in the support vehicle if you prefer.
