- ACAndy· February 23rd, 2025The G Expedition vessel may be getting on a bit but she is perfect for these expeditions across the Drake Passage and around the Antarctic Peninsula. Very comfortable and perfectly well equipped. But what makes this particular trip so amazing is the crew on board. The expedition crew are inspirational in their enthusiasm for the areas of expertise - I learned so much from them - and they are so utterly professional, yet great company too. The organisation was impeccable and helped take full advantage of the favourable conditions we were lucky enough to get so that we squeezed the very most we could out of this once in a lifetime trip. Add to this exceptional support crew, especially the catering, and it would be hard to ask for more, despite this being a costly trip. The only thing that I could think of tho add would be a masseuse, but hey! Thank you G for an unforgettable trip.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much for sharing your experience with us, Andy! Asked on June 28th, 2025What is the difference, in terms of wildlife and climate, between November 2025 and January 2026?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
November is the start of Summer, January is peak Summer. So warmer temperatures, penguins hatching, whales easier to spot etc. Both month's are popular however.

Ellen
Traveler•Written June 2025I cannot find in your brochure the type of vessel and the amount of passengers on it. I am interested in a expedition ship, instead of a cruise ship.
- E
Ellen
Traveler•Written July 2025We are talking about a ship with around 150 spaces, right?

Traveler•Written July 2025Is there a 13 day trip in January?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
The Antarctica Classic in Depth is the 13 day expedition trip we have but sadly that one does only depart in November and December each year. If you are looking at January Departures the following Expedition tours departs: Antarctica Classic (11 days), Spirit of Shackleton (21 days).
- G AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
We use Zodiacs for landings, our goal is to attempt two excursions per day but the itinerary and daily schedule will be based on the local weather and ice conditions.

Asked on April 17th, 2025What will the bedding look like in a double cabin? Will the travelers have 2 separate beds? Or will there be 1 double bed available? Ideally, would like a big double bed.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
Cabins will be shared unless you opt to pay the supplement to have your own cabin, the category 5 cabin is a double bed. All cabins have private bathrooms.
- J
Janice
Traveler•Written April 2025Cabins will be shared by how many passengers as we are two. Additionally how many people are sharing a bathroom?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
This will depend on which cabin type you book and how many people you are travelling with. We have private cabins for two people as well as triple and quad cabins. All cabins have private bathrooms. So you are sharing the bathroom with those who are in your cabin.

Asked on February 22nd, 2025How much would a single supplement be? Also, I am over 60, what percentage of customers would be of a similar age generally?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2025
A single supplement is only applicable to certain room types (twin & double rooms). The price for a private room is essentially an additional 80% of the cost of the tour, as it reduces the amount of people that can join this tour by 1. If you have a specific room type in mind we can quite that for you. As for the ages of those on board, 60 is quite common yes, although ages are varied. Generally we would say between 40-70 would be the most common.
- R
Raymond
Traveler•Written February 2025Yes I would consider sharing a room. What would the cost be for that?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2025
On our Expedition Trips, we have Twin, Triple & Quad Cabins. Pricing (per person) can be found below for each cabin: Quad Share Cabin - 13,199.00 AUD, Triple Share Cabin - 14,799.00 AUD, Cat 2 Twin Share Cabin - 16,999.00 AUD, Cat 3 Twin Share Cabin - 18,299.00 AUD (Currently on sale for 14,639.20 AUD), Cat 4 Twin Share Cabin - 20,699.00 AUD (Currently on sale for 16,559.20 AUD)

Asked on December 15th, 2024I'm thinking to book the tour to antarctica named "Antarctica Classic". i know this tour has a option about Antarctica Kayaking. and this is the question. where are we gonna kayak? Ushuaia or like Antarctica sea?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
The Kayaking would be done in Antartica, not in Ushuaia
- R
Rachael
Traveler•Written December 2024i have one more question. i reserved kayak option held on Day 1 (13 Mar). and now i'm thinking about flight ticket to Ushuaia. if i book the ticket that arrives on 13 Mar like evenings , can't i kayak plan? What time is the kayaking scheduled to take place on 13 Mar?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
The Kayaking is listed as the 13th but does not take place on the 13th as you are not in Antarctica. If you the Kayaking extra - the team try and take you out kayaking a few times whilst on tour and this is all weather dependant. The tour starts in Ushuaia on 13th and you stay in the hotel on this night and then board the ship the following day after breakfast.

Asked on December 13th, 2024Is this a good time to visit antarctica? Are we able to watch whales, get close to penguin in Antarctica? Do you have some recommendations on the local tour guide in Ushuaia? Can you provide the detail and itinerary of your cruise? Do you provide warm clothing during the land excursion? Do you have group and/or senior discounts?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
December is a good time to travel to Antartica, as the season only runs from November to February.
