Itinerary
- Day 1
Dar es Salaam to Mikumi
Your driver picks you up from Dar es Salaam airport or your hotel for the 4 to 5 hour drive to Mikumi National Park. Once you arrive, lunch is waiting for you at the camp. Later that afternoon, you'll head out on your first game drive to look for wildlife before the sun sets. Dinner happens back at Mikumi Wildlife Camp where you'll spend the night.

Landmarks/POIs Mikumi National Park - Day 2
Mikumi National Park
You're out on safari all day exploring Mkata Chamgore, also called the python's place, and the Mkata Food Plain within the park. There's a lot of ground to cover, so you'll break for lunch back at camp mid-day. Once you're refreshed, the afternoon game drives continue until late in the evening. Dinner and another night at Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

Mikumi National Park
Today focuses on the southern section of Mikumi National Park, particularly Vuma Hills where yellow baboons, impalas, reedbucks and other antelope species are commonly spotted. You'll spend the morning and early afternoon searching these areas before heading back to the lodge for a hot lunch. After eating, you're back out for more afternoon safari. Another dinner and overnight at Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

Mikumi to Dar es Salaam
This morning starts early with a sunrise game drive to catch wildlife when they're most active. You'll return to the hotel for breakfast and have time to pack your things. By 10:00 AM, you're on your way back to Dar es Salaam for the drive out, stopping along the way for lunch. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
